BALTIMORE, MARYLAND: Maddie Schwartz's (Natalie Portman) stars are not shining brightly, as she continues to struggle in Episode 6 of Apple TV+'s 'Lady in the Lake' following the murderous assault on her in Episode 5. The suspense thriller show 'Lady in the Lake' is set in the 1960s and is based on Laura Lippman's book of the same name and follows two unusual women.
While Maddie, a freshly divorced woman attempting to make a reputation for herself as a journalist, Cleo Johnson (Moses Ingram) is a diligent mother attempting to make ends meet but gets mysteriously killed. As stated in Episode 5 of 'Lady in the Lake,' not only Maddie's investigation into Cleo's murder case becomes more serious, but she is also assaulted by Ms. Zawadzkie (Masha Mashkova), who, after assaulting her, kills herself, complicating the already complex case.
What to expect from 'Lady in the Lake' Episode 7?
The sixth episode of 'Lady in the Lake' was indeed packed with a lot of intriguing and subtle metaphoric details that set the stage for an intriguing finale.
1. How Cleo Johnson is still alive?
Cleo is discovered to be alive at the end of Episode 6. At first, it looks like Cleo is nothing more than a fabrication of Maddie's mind, however, things get much more intriguing when she properly identifies herself. So, how did Cleo really survive? The prospect that Cleo faked her death will undoubtedly bring up new plotlines.
Cleo may want to use Maddie as a weapon to bring down Shell Gordon (Wood Harris) and reveal the truth about her purported death. This might lead to a collaboration between Cleo and Maddie, with both women working together to defeat mutual foes.
2. What will be the future of Maddie Schwartz and Ferdie Platt’s relationship?
In 'Lady in the Lake' Episode 6, Maddie and police officer Ferdie Platt's (Y'lan Noel ) romance is jeopardized when Officer Bosko (Ronnie Gene Blevins) warns Platt that making their relationship public may damage his job and throw Maddie in prison.
This puts Platt in a difficult position, as he recognizes that maintaining the connection might not only harm their reputations but also put them in danger. It will be interesting to watch how Platt handles this danger and if he will maintain his relationship with Maddie or succumb to Officer Bosko's threats.
3. What really happened with Tessie Durst?
One of the most stinging questions that goes unanswered is what truly happened to Tessie Durst (Bianca Belle) and how the young girl died. Tessie was raped by Stephen Zawadzkie (Dylan Arnold), which led to her terrible death, as revealed in the sixth episode of 'Lady in the Lake'.
When Stephan's mother, Ms. Zawadzkie, saw Tessie in such a vulnerable situation, she took things into her own hands and killed her to cover up her son's crime. Ms. Zawadzkie then disposed of Tessie's corpse beside the lake, setting up the sad and unexplained circumstances of Tessie's death. But things might be different from what it appears.
So, we'll have to wait until the finale to find out what truly happened to the little girl, and I'm sure Gordon must have a part in this in some manner.

The seventh and final episode of 'Lady in the Lake' will air on Friday, August 23, 2024.
The episode will be helmed by Alma Har'el and Boaz Yakin will write the episode and will have a runtime of 55 minutes.
