Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker fly commercial after eco-shaming hits family
SPOKANE, WASHINGTON: Recently, Kourtney Kardashian and her better half, Travis Barker, flew business on Alaskan Air for an excursion from LAX to Spokane, Washington. TMZ reported that the former's daughter Penelope and niece North were also on board. The gang seemed to keep the entire thing low profile and wore their masks and hoodies throughout. The couple has a home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Spokane is the closest air terminal. They are expected to spend some time at the location.
However, travelling commercial hasn't exactly been the Kardashian family tradition of late. A new report by Yard, a marketing agency, called out celebs causing pollution by taking private jets. Kim Kardashian and Travis Scott were on that list. Kylie Jenner was also on the radar for using her private jet to go shopping less than 30 miles from home just to dodge LA traffic. But it looks like Barker and Kourtney are keen to stay off the planet polluters list.

Recently, Kylie Jenner was blasted for taking a 17 minute flight. The celeb posted a black-and-white photo of herself along with Travis Scott on Instagram and soon criticism started flowing in. Sharing the image, one user said, "Normalise shaming billionaires for flying in private jets because that shit emits in a one hour flight what a car emits in a whole entire year hhhh." Another shared, "In a single hour, a private jet emits 2t of CO2, which is the individual yearly footprint we should be aiming for. On average, a private flight pollutes 10 times more than its commercial alternative. "
Kourtney and Barker seem to be trying to save the planet in many ways. The couple recently revealed their top vegan food picks in Los Angeles. They usually head out to Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood for a nice dinner out. Their favorites from the place are Romaine Caesar Salad, Fried Olives, Squash Blossoms, Tempeh Piccata, and Chili Cheese Fries. For dessert, they opt for a matcha latte and a brownie sundae topped with brandied cherries.
Kourtney and Travis have also been trying the plant-based lifestyle for a couple of years. Travis went vegan after surviving a plane crash in 2008 and Kourtney also started following the diet since the two started dating.
