LONDON, UK: King Charles’ first love was Camilla Shand, who is now his wife. But there came a time when Camilla went on to exchange vows with her first husband Andrew Parker Bowles, leaving the current monarch of England looking for his special one. It has been said that at the time, the woman who attracted him was actress Susan George.

The Daily Mail reported that Charles and ‘The Strange Affair’ star got quite close during those times and went on to have numerous dinner dates together. However, George never missed the fact that the 74-year-old was a royal and always referred to him as “Sir”. Also, before her friends, she used to call Charles her “special individual” but never publicly admitted that they had a romantic relationship.

This next song, 'Don’t Rain on my Parade,' is therefore full of special memories of—I hardly dare think of it now—47 years ago.”

Streisand also spoke of him fondly as she reportedly once said, “He asked to meet me. So he came to the recording studio... No,” before adding, “We became friends, and I loved spending some time at Highgrove for a weekend fundraiser and going through his gardens.”

The writer also reportedly mentioned that the singer was very "nervous" and “tight-lipped” while meeting the then-26-year-old Charles but he “really wanted to get to stay and know her”. In his journal, he also penned, “I still contend she has great sex appeal.”
