Mending fractured relationships is never easy. It requires both parties to see the error of their ways and, hopefully, mending their bond. Unfortunately, the older Plath siblings, growing up under the strict rules of their parents, Kim and Barry Plath, has left them with a lingering feeling of resentment.

Micah and Moriah seemed to have found a way around the situation, managing to maintain a healthy distance from thier parents while still being welcomed into their parents' home. However, their older brother, Ethan, can't quite say the same, as the tension between him and his parents run high and might take a turn for the worse.

Ethan, who is currently in therapy, continues to struggle with his relationships. He has cut off all ties with his parents because of their endless rules, restrictions and inability to be flexible with the same. The final straw for him was when they mistreated his wife Olivia, which led him to end all contact with them entirely. Unfortunately, it came with a hefty price, seeing that no contact with them meant he couldn't stay in touch with his younger siblings either.

While his relationship with Olivia gets increasingly worse, seeing that they both have begun to realise and admit that they want very different things, his resentment toward his parents has not eased out in the slightest. While Micah and Moriah visit Kim and Barry often, Ethan has no intention of doing the same. However, this might be out of his hand. Ethan learns that Lydia will be working at the garage he frequents.

Lydia is ecstatic to see her older brother, and Ethan is glad to spend time with her. He even offered to help her pick out a truck to ensure she gets a good deal. Ethan is okay with spending time with Lydia, provided Kim or Barry don't interfere. However, his peace of mind only lasts for so long, as Kim sees this as the perfect chance to contact Ethan. She insists on driving Lydia to his house, which has him absolutely livid, seeing that he doesn't even want her on his property, let alone to see her.

Olivia notes a complete role reversal between the two, as she has never him this adamant. Ethan justifies his action, stating that his mother expects everyone to bend over for what she wants but won't do the same for others, which has prompted him to not communicate with her. By showing up at his house, Ethan's states that it's a power move on her part.

What do you think? Is Kim going to try to talk to Ethan? Or will she continue to respect his boundaries? Sound off in the comments below!
