HIDDEN HILLS, CALIFORNIA: While most of us regular folks wake up to the sound of alarm clocks, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Kim Kardashian and her children. The reality star, who recently settled her divorce with Kanye West and will be receiving $200k a month in child support, posted her early Christmas plans and decorations. Interestingly, the plans include a hired pianist playing Christmas songs for Kim’s children during the holiday season as they wake up in the morning.

While it turns out that the elaborate gesture by North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm’s mother is actually an annual custom, the internet was still quite baffled by Kim’s “over the top” celebrations. The video, which ‘The Kardashians’ star posted on her Instagram story, was captioned, “It’s that time of year,” followed by, “@Philthekeys comes over every morning to wake my kids up by playing the piano while the mad morning rush is happening to calm their little souls and fill it with beautiful Christmas songs.” Philip Cornish is a grammy-winning pianist who apparently visits Kim’s house yearly for the holidays to play for her children. The stories also featured her children yelling in the background and her youngest son Psalm curled up on the couch, underneath a blanket, listening to the holiday melodies.

While it might be an annual custom for the SKIMS founder, many netizens trolled the reality star for her plush lifestyle when influencer Amanda Hirsch posted a video mocking the Kardashian. The video, which featured Amanda playing on a toy keyboard, had social media user comment on their thoughts as one wrote, “And this is why she needs that 200k/month child support. 😂” Another chimed in with, “I guess rich people don’t use spotify.” A social media user pointed out that Kanye “Ye” West had started the annual custom, penning, “Anyone else remember it was Ye that gifted the piano player to Kim? I guess she won him in the divorce.🤷🏻‍♀️” Someone even joked that Kim’s daughter North probably doesn’t like her antics, writing, “Why do I feel like North doesn’t even like this and wakes up and makes a face or makes fun of it lol.”

A few social media users even noted that Kim was trying to distract her followers from the recent controversy surrounding the brand she is closely linked to, Balenciaga. One user wrote, “say it with me *deflection*.” While another agreed and stated, “Look over there….I didn’t denounce deplorable behavior against children!” And one person noted, “All I see is someone trying to distract us. It’s not working Kim.”

A Twitter user also noted, "Well isn’t that nice Kim Kardashian Pays someone to play the piano to wake her children up in the morning. What’s wrong with just saying get the hell out of bed?!"

Kim’s Instagram stories also revealed her over-the-top holiday décor, which featured a glimpse of lit-up Christmas trees lining the balcony outside of the bathroom and personalized Elf on a Shelf displays made by North West for each of her siblings, decorated around the house.
