Did Kim Kardashian marry Kris Humphries under 'pressure'? 'KUWTK' star tells all
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's fairytale romance and wedding grabbed everybody's attention. While the couple is currently in the process of divorcing, Kim has nothing but love and respect for her former husband and is handling the separation in a very mature manner. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about her earlier divorces.
Much before marrying Kanye, Kim was briefly married to NBA star Kris Humphries. The couple's infamous $10 million wedding was even documented on a special episode of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'. The marriage lasted for just 72 days, following which they announced their split. While Humphries wanted an annulment, Kim wanted to divorce him. Needless to say, things got really ugly between the duo, leading to fans speculating that Kim used him and their wedding for the show. Turns out there might be some truth to it. During the recently aired reunion special of 'KUWTK', Kim addressed the topic of her marriage to Humphries and cleared the air on why she decided to divorce him and what exactly went down between them.

When the host of the reunion Andy Cohen asked Kim about her brief marriage to Humphries and why she married him in the first place, the 'KKW Beauty' founder shocked everybody with her response. She began by wondering why her family let her go through the wedding in the first place. Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner jumped in and reminded Kim that they did subtly try to nudge her away from getting married to him. Kim agreed and shared how before her rehearsal dinner for the wedding, Kris pulled her aside and told her that she didn't have to marry Humphries if she didn't want to or wasn't feeling it. Kris reportedly even warned Kim that things could backfire in the worst possible way if she married Humphries and even offered to put her in a car and send her away quietly.
Kim shared that she brushed off her mother's suggestion and convinced herself that she was just having cold feet. The reality star also explained how there was a lot at stake when it came to her wedding to Humphries. E! reportedly paid some money for the wedding and also offered Kim and Kris a handsome paycheque for the same. Kim explained that she used up all that money to plan an extravagant wedding, so she felt that she'd have to go through with it since she spent so much money on the wedding. She was also nervous about being mocked as a 'runaway bride' if she didn't actually marry Humphries.
The makeup mogul made it very clear that she felt 'pressured' to marry Humphries, due to all the money she invested in planning the big wedding party and the filming for 'KUWTK'. However, soon after the wedding, she immediately realized that she made a huge mistake and regretted the marriage. She pointed out how Humphries' size 17 shoe bothered her as they took up all the space and several other little things that made it clear that she shouldn't have married him. So after 72 days, Kim filed for a divorce, while Humphries wanted their wedding to be annulled. Kim explained how Humphries is a man of faith and wanted to be married only once, so having a divorce on his record wasn't something he ever wanted. He pushed really hard to get their marriage annulled, but Kim and her lawyers felt that an annulment didn't make sense for their scenario because one can get their marriage annulled if there was some fraudulent activity involved and there was nothing fraud about their wedding.
But looking back at how things played out, Kim shared that she should have just gotten an annulment. The reality star also updated fans about her current relationship status with Kanye. She told that she would always be Kanye's biggest fan and revealed they both were co-parenting their four children wonderfully. In case you're wondering if Kim is dating anybody currently, then the reality star answered that too. Kim revealed that she isn't dating anybody at the moment.
