SACRILEGE! New videos show Kim Kardashian caused more 'IRREVERSIBLE' damage to Marilyn Monroe gown
Instagram user Darrell Rooney, who recently visited the Ripley's Believe It Or Not! museum in Hollywood, posted new videos to Instagram showing additional damage to Marilyn Monroe's famous 'Happy Birthday, Mr. President' dress. Kim Kardashian, who borrowed the garment for the Met Gala red carpet in 2022, is said to be to blame for the damage.
"Look at the damage caused by KK. Irreversible. Marilyn Monroe’s 1961 gown has multiple tatters now," commented Rooney, who posted a number of videos and images showcasing the outfit on exhibit in close-up detail. The damage caused to Marilyn Monroe's iconic outfit is clearly visible in the recently released videos. Rooney, who is an established animator, also made reference to one of the videos in which Kim, 41, is heard talking about the experience of donning the look for the evening.

Embarrassing Edit! Kim Kardashian slammed for posting photoshopped Met Gala images
"'So, I knew if anyone were to take the best care, of this dress and understand the importance of it, it would be me' KK. These words play out on the video as you observe the damage done to MM’s gown," Rooney wrote.
"Note the irreversible damage done to Marilyn’s gown by you know who," he captioned another image showing a close-up of the zipper and stretched fabric. "The saddest part of all of this to me, is that MM was whored out by a woman this time, rather than a man. Shame."
Images of the gown showing signs of damage had surfaced earlier this week. Pop Crave tweeted comparison images of the ensemble, presumably shot before and after the Met Gala. Even though she only briefly wore the original before changing into a replica to shoot pictures on the red carpet, many are blaming Kim Kardashian for the museum piece's current state.

Kim talked about her admiration for the renowned gown before leaving for the ball. She told Vogue, "I'm extremely respectful to the dress and what it means to American history. I would never want to sit in it or eat in it or have any risk of any damage to it and I won't be wearing the kind of body makeup I usually do."
Following the Met Gala, Ripley's issued a statement that was released by The Post regarding the controversial loan, claiming that Kim's use of the delicate dress caused "no damage." Ripley's remarked that although it "was no easy decision for Ripley's, however, Kim Kardashian has continued to show the utmost respect for this opportunity and historic garment,"
"From extensive research to following guidelines such as no body makeup, only wearing the dress for the short red-carpet appearance, and making absolutely no alterations, she has become a steward — and added to — its history," the company concluded.
