Chicago Bears traded their former second-round pick, Adam Shaheen to the Miami Dolphins, where he found a decent niche as a primary red-zone target. As both teams worked in pass rush drills during the second day of joint practices at Halas Hall, Shaheen 'ran into Khalil Mack'. Some fights erupted during the day one of which was between Shaheen and Mack. Apparently, the former teammates 'had a lot to talk about'.

According to The Bigs, who attended the practice session, the problem began from the first snap. The Bigs tweeted, "Individual pass rush drills between the @ChicagoBears OLBs and the @MiamiDolphins TEs got heated after @FiftyDeuce cleanly beat former Bear @adamshaheen3. Shaheen appeared to take exception to being badly beaten, so Mack body-slammed him and pinned him to the ground." Speaking of the altercation, Shaheen said, "It was a back-and-forth. It’s going to happen. We still got a lot of work to do. I’m learning and grinding down on this, It was a good competitive day. That’s why you do the joint practices. They got us. We got them." He added, "Building those relationships and trust is something you can do when you’re traded and playing next to a guy for the first time."
