Kayleigh McEnany joins Fox News as 'Outnumbered' co-host, trolls say 'you can lie your way to the top'
Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, a favorite among Donald Trump supporters, has just been named co-host of Fox News' 'Outnumbered'. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott announced on Tuesday, March 30, that the former employee of the Trump administration will be joining the team.
"Kayleigh’s unique background in politics and law coupled with her experiences confronting women’s health challenges and life as a new mom will add robust insight to ‘Outnumbered’ - we are delighted to welcome her back to FOX News where she began her media career," Scott said singing her praises.

McEnany is set to appear daily on 'Outnumbered' alongside founding anchor Harris Faulkner, co-host Emily Compagno, and a series of rotating panelists starting on April 6, 2021. "I am thrilled to join the incredible women of ‘Outnumbered’ and look forward to working alongside the talented Harris Faulkner and Emily Compagno as we discuss the top issues impacting the country," McEnany said.
Taking to Twitter, she shared the news with her 1.9M followers. "I am honored to be joining @OutnumberedFNC, @FoxNews as a co-host! I will be alongside founding anchor & talented journalist @HARRISFAULKNER and @EmilyCompagno, a truly great legal mind. I hope you’ll join us on weekdays from 12-1 PM ET!"

According to Nielsen Media Research cited by Fox News, 'Outnumbered' is currently the most-watched cable news program in its 12 pm ET timeslot. Reports also say that it has nearly doubled its viewership since premiering in 2014. "The show ranked among the top 15 programs in total viewers in 2020, notching its highest-rated year ever with 2 million viewers, while also garnering 338,000 in the coveted 25-54 demographic," Fox News said in its statement.
After the former president left office, McEnany, who also served as a press secretary and senior adviser to Trump's 2020 campaign, joined Fox News as a contributor. Since joining Fox News, McEnany has provided political analysis across all platforms, regularly appearing on the network’s popular programs.
What is Kayleigh McEnany's job at Fox News?
Joining 'Outnumbered' alongside Faulkner and Compagno should see McEnany cover some interesting stories. The early afternoon show is named for its format that features a regular female panel and a rotating male guest.
Earlier this month, Faulkner informed viewers McEnany was not only making an appearance on her show that day but will also be seen more often in the future. "It is my distinct pleasure today to welcome Kayleigh McEnany to the Fox family. We will be seeing much more of her in the future,” she said at the time during an interview on 'The Faulkner Focus', when the former Trump advisor was joining the Fox News family.
'Professional liar'
Twitter has mixed feelings about McEnany's new job profile. "At Fox News, you can lie your way to the top," one taunted her. Other users weren't polite. "Fox News and Kayleigh McEnany go together like syphilis and dementia."

"Who knew that being a professional liar was in such demand?" a user taunted. Writing along similar lines, one user tweeted, "We still remember how she pushed the big lie for the former guy." As a contributor on Fox, McEnany has remained a staunch defender of Trump and his administration. Yet another user said, "You must love to continue to get paid to lie.. But KayLies how are you going to feel when you 1. work for a propaganda station that is being sued 2. realize that when you spread lies without hiding behind the orange offal you can be sued too Maybe Chic-fil-a is hiring."
Another said, "Aren't they being sued for lying? I guess she'll feel right at home." One more said, "What’s more fitting than a fake news figurehead of the Trump administration being a correspondent on a fake news network? Nothing!" One more said, "Save this tweet for the day she gets caught up in a FOX lawsuit. Apparently Harvard doesn't teach common sense?"
