'Temptation Island' Reunion: Kaylee and Summit are still together but there is a catch
Kaylee Needham and Summit Wallace were last seen looking to build a stable relationship during 'Temptation Island' Season 2. The couple revealed what life has been like after taking the spotlight in the hit Netflix reality series. Ahead of the 'Temptation Island' reunion, all eyes were on the pair to see if they were together, and fans who rooted for them will be pleased. Part one of the reunion dropped on April 22 on 'The Viall Files,' and Needham revealed how they were navigating the day-to-day challenges in relationships. Part two of the dating show's reunion will drop on Friday, April 24.
For context, the couple decided to leave together after the show's final bonfire. The amends were made when Wallace shared that he loved her for who she was. He also claimed that he wanted to move in together, stay grounded, and get a dog. The two revealed they were still in a relationship, but they had not moved in yet or gotten a dog. "It's just kind of the realities of life that can […] prolong that process," Wallace told Natalie Joy and Nick Viall, per Parade. "Kaylee already knows she wants a "weiner dog" or a Dachshund. "She brainwashed me into wanting one," he said.
Needham also spoke of her traumatic experiences, where some comments from Wallace about her body had hurt her. At the same time, she also spoke of how she wanted to be a priority in his life. She also clarified that Wallace had not said anything hurtful since the end of the show. In related news, there was good and unfortunate news for some of the other couples. Scarlett and Cole are back together, but the same can not be said for three other couples on the show. Sydney and Xzavier, Mikey and Sydney, and Shyanne and Jack are all not together much to the disappointment of those who hoped some of these couples could make things work.
'Temptation Island' came in with the concept for couples who are at a crossroads in their relationship, and are put on a tropical island where their fidelity is tested. The pairs are separated and live in groups of single members with the opposite sex. The test is to see if their love remains unfazed despite the temptation. As for the status of Season 3, Netflix has yet to confirm greenlighting a third instalment, and it will be a surprise if they do not. Meanwhile, Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix.
