'Katy Keene': When will Episode 9 'Chapter Nine: Wishin' & Hopin' air?
The last episode of 'Katy Keene' brought enough questions about how Pepper Smith (Julia Chan) will deal with the lead of the musical and who will be Josie's Pussycats as she makes her highschool band comeback. We also left off with the fact that Jorge stood up to his dad, choosing to continue to dress in drag, so their relationship dynamic may represent a different narrative coming up. Unfortunately, for all Archieverse lovers, we have to wait a bit before we see where the fashionista and her friends go in their dream-filled universe. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 'Katy Keene' Episode 9 'Chapter Nine: Wishin' & Hopin' will air on April 16 at 8 pm EST.
While the synopsis of Episode 9 is yet to be released, the promo has been released. For fans who were wondering who the new Pussycats would be, it seems as though the OG's, Melody Valentine (Asha Bromfield) and Valerie Brown (Hayley Law) from 'Riverdale' are not making an appearance in the episode. Not to mention, Katy (Lucy Hale) seems to in tears about Guy LaMontagne (Luke Cook) and Gloria Grandbilt (Katherine LaNasa) of all people is comforting here? While Gloria does have a soft side for Katy, she was more of a foe when the series first premiered. We don't know if Katy's love and work-life might mix up again and the promo has not hinted at that. We can only hope that she keeps business and pleasure separate.
There has not been an official announcement for the renewal of Season 2. It has been said that 13 scripts have been ordered, so we're hoping for renewal and maybe the show can move on to be more than just a 'Riverdale' spinoff.

Other cast members include Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Camille Hyde as Alexandra Cabot, Jonny Beauchamp as Jorge/Ginger Lopez, Julia Chan as Pepper Smith, Katherine LaNasa as Gloria Grandbilt, Lucien Laviscount as Alexander Cabot, and Zane Holtz as Ko Kelly. Greg Berlanti, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Michael Grassi, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater serve as executive producers.
