Spoilers for 'Katy Keene' Season 1 Episode 8 'Chapter Eight: It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)'

This episode of 'Katy Keene' was interesting, thanks to the disbanding of love triangles and hinting of another as well as the revelation of backstabbing truths. Nevertheless, Jorge Lopez (Jonny Beauchamp) is completely winning in this episode when he chooses his chosen family over the fear of acceptance.

"Everyone is so happy No drama between KO and Katy, Jorge's brother and boyfriend are there to support him, the group's there for him.. Aaaand a half-naked KO's on the side of a bus what an ending. #KatyKeene," tweeted a fan rehashing the emotional episode. Last week's musical episode, saw Jorge and his boyfriend, Bernardo got attacked as they walked home in NYC, this episode brings in the emotional and unacceptable drudgery that comes with a victim explaining he doesn't want to be one.

After Jorge's father finds out that his son was in drag attire and as Ginger Lopez during the time of his attack, he finds it hard to cope with his son as Ginger. After downgrading his son's very real feel to the utter idea that he dressed that way to be "cute", he walks off sending storms among fans who rally up with Jorge and his drag personality, Ginger.

"Jorge Lopez might be my few favorite characters on TV and not just because @JonnyBeauchamp is incredibly gorgeous, but Jorge isn't scared to be his true self, especially with his family. #KatyKeene." tweeted a supportive fan.

Jorge struggles with deciding whether or not he should give up on Ginger, he even tries going to Pepper Smiths' (Julia Chan) birthday party as Jorge, he's given advice that serves as an important reminder for him. His best friend, Katy Keene (Lucy Hale), chooses to tell him that family can be chosen and actress Lucy Hale tweeted the most important line of the entire episode.

"Family isn’t just your blood. It’s who you choose.”  Thanks for watching with me tonight everyone!  #KatyKeene," tweeted Hale, with a fan replying, "This show is giving my life during those times. it has such a powerful message and such an incredible lgbt representation. Thanks y’all  #KatyKeene@CWKatyKeene."

Jorge tries to explain to his father that he chooses to be himself rather than being afraid, letting his dad know "this isn't selfish, this is me" and fans wouldn't have it any other way. One fan tweeted, "Go Jorge!! Stand up for yourself. I feel so bad for him having his dad react like that. Hope he stays true to himself and shows his dad wrong #KatyKeene," and another tweeted, "Jorge, that's what I would do. No one should live in fear! #KatyKeene."

His epiphany that his family doesn't have to be blood came after Katy expressed how they'll always have each other. Jorge almost lost his family when he came out to them but now, he has his mother and brother by his side and until his father realizes his son's happiness is much more important than fear, he has his friends-turned-family in his corner. "Katy and Jorge are sisters for life. I’m not crying, you’re crying!!! #KatyKeene," tweeted a fan.

'Katy Keene' airs Thursdays at 8 pm EST on The CW.
