Kate Middleton dons Alessandra Rich's polka dots and Diana’s pearls at Prince Philip memorial
The Duchess of Cambridge donned a polka dot dress at Prince Philip's memorial service. The service marked nearly a year since Philip's death on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99. The ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 29, at Westminster Abbey.
Kate Middleton wore an Alessandra Rich high-neck gown for the event. She wore a black Alessandra Rich dress with silver button adornment on one shoulder. She completed her look with a semi-length hem. The silk gown is produced in Italy and has a 1980s silhouette with a high neck, puff-shoulder sleeves, and a flared skirt with a dropped waist. She accessorized the look with black heels, Diana’s pearl earrings, a wide-brimmed black hat with white feather detailing, and an off-white clutch purse.

Around 1,800 people gathered to commemorate the Duke's legacy, including senior royals such as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Royal, Prince William, and Prince Andrew. The duchess was accompanied by her husband, Prince William, and their two eldest children, George and Charlotte.
Princess Beatrice was among the elegant participants at the memorial ceremony. She was spotted sporting a wide crimson headpiece by Justine Bradley-Hill Millinery ($518) and a coat she's had since 2010, the aptly named "Beatrice" design by Nonoo Lyons. Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, looked stunning in a black floral "Roisin" dress by Erdem ($2,540), a black shrug jacket, and a crystal-covered, bow-trimmed Emily London "Alcina" headpiece ($900).
The duchess is donning Alessandra Rich for the second time in a week; she picked a 1980s Barbie-style yellow dress ($2,350) by the designer to bid adieu to the Bahamas as the Royals wrapped up their Caribbean vacation.
Kate's bow-trimmed ruffle dress was yet another example of the duchess taking fashion risks lately, combining vintage elements and extravagant outfits into her wardrobe.
Kate was photographed arriving at Lynden Pindling International Airport on Sunday, 27 March wearing a yellow patterned Alessandra Rich gown.
