Season 5 of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' hasn't been great for the relationships between the women and their respective partners/spouses. A lot of drama, arguments and cheating have come to light. Except for Candiace and her husband Chris Bassett, every other couple on the show has been facing their own issues and long-standing couple Ray and Karen "Grand Dame" Huger's marriage too hasn't been immune.

If you're someone who follows the series religiously and don't blink while the show is on, you'd know that the makers for sometimes have been teasing that not everything is rosy in Karen and Ray's world. Karen was heard saying, "I should've left in a f***ing heartbeat," to Monique and Candiace while wiping off tears, in the previews that play at the end of the episodes. This exchange is yet to be aired on television but before that, it looks like the two of them have been taking steps to find a solution to everything that's been affecting their dynamic as a couple.

In the upcoming episode, they sit down with a coach to have an open dialogue about their needs, what they expect from each other and what areas are they have been lacking in, in their marriage. While Karen complains that Ray doesn't date her anymore, adding that she's a passionate woman and needs to know that she's loved, Ray rues about the fact that Karen doesn't make meals for him anymore. Karen very assertively declares that she's in love with Ray and further explains that she knows she is because its difficult for her to imagine a day without him. Ray contests this saying he doesn't try to imagine a day without her either, agitating Karen a little. Strike two is when he says he "thinks" that he loves her, lacking Karen's confidence while doing so.

The first-look trailer that released before Season 5 went on air too had Karen talking about her marriage in multiple scenes saying things like, "I'm fone. We've been together 25 years," and Ray saying, "Over time, things change."

So what's the current update on this couple? As of now, it seems all is well in their universe if social media is anything to go by. Karen often posts pictures of herself with Ray and they seem too much into each other. According to Heavy, Huger had spoken to E! in July and during the conversation, she'd revealed that the season will provide a much closer look about herself. “And as far as I’m concerned, I go deeper with you all,” Huger said to E! “Lemme tease you: I do a homecoming trip. I can say that. So you really get to know who Karen Huger is. I think you already do but I just wanted to lay the foundation to what I was bringing to you all over the last five years and I’ve done it this season.”

'Real Housewives of Potomac' airs Sundays at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
