New shocking details have emerged into the US Capitol building attack including how Vice President Kamala Harris' life was in danger at the time.  As per several law enforcement officials familiar with the situation, Harris was in very close proximity to a pipe bomb that was planted near a bench outside the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters.

Quoting multiple sources, CNN reported that the then-vice president-elect drove to the DNC headquarters in Washington on January 6, 2021, at around 11:30 local time in the morning with her motorcade through the garage and went to the parking deck, from where later the law enforcement found a pipe bomb. An internal US Capitol Police timeline stated that "an unnamed 'protectee' was removed from the DNC building at approximately 1:14 pm ET, seven minutes after Capitol Police began investigating the bomb. CNN had reported earlier in January that the person was Harris," the CNN report added.

At the time, the inauguration ceremony of Harris and President Joe Biden had not taken place but they were provided protection by the United States Secret Service. In a statement to CNN, a Secret Service spokesman said, “In order to maintain operational security, the Secret Service does not discuss protective means and methods.”

Earlier, Harris had not said anything about her January 6 evacuation, however, on the first anniversary of the tragedy that killed five, she stated, “On that day, I was not only Vice President-elect, I was also a United States senator. And I was here at the Capitol that morning, at a classified hearing with fellow members of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Hours later, the gates of the Capitol were breached. I had left. But my thoughts immediately turned not only to my colleagues but to my staff, who had been forced to seek refuge in our office, converting filing cabinets into barricades.”

Meanwhile, a lot of people have reacted online to the latest revelation. A user tweeted, “And Dinesh D’Souza claimed she wasn’t anywhere near there and had nothing to fear. As if 1/6 insurrectionists are innocent since nobody famous got hurt or killed.” The second user wrote, “Jail them ALL Humper said he did it at RALLY BS ON PARDONS KEEP THEM in JAIL GUILTY as SIN.”

“It is a shame there is such depravity in this country, all of it made ‘ok’ by Donald Trump,” the third user added.

A person said, “People still calling it a Riot? A Insurrection? It was and is an ongoing Coup attempt, perpetrated by Domestic Terrorists. I sure wish our society would figure out that labeling something nicer, does not make it so. It just appeals to the Delusional.” Another person noted, “What the radicals don’t realize is that if she had been assassinated then Nancy Pelosi would’ve become VP since she is third in line for the presidency! That being said I adore VP Harris & am thrilled she was not harmed or killed that day!!” “Trumpers and trumpism are the greatest threat to this nation, and like the confederacy it must be wiped out using all means necessary,” a tweet read.
