Former Big Bang member Seungri had another court hearing regarding the charges that he was facing in the Burning Sun scandal. In the court hearing, Seungri’s lawyer presented a number of facts indicating and further trying to prove Seungri’s innocence. While the court trial is still going to continue, Seungri fans have taken to social media to say the lawyer was competent and fans have faith in him.
In 2019, Seungri faced a number of serious allegations regarding his involvement in the Burning Sun controversy. The initial charges against Seungri included drug use and arranging sexual favors for investors among others. He was later charged of assaulting victims. Seungri denied the charged and hired a lawyer who used to be a cop.
In March 2019, the K-pop singer also went through a second round of drug analysis where hair and urine samples were tested and the results were negative.

Who is Seungri’s lawyer?
Seungri appointed a lawyer in 2019 after a number of allegations were lodged against him. The lawyer named Son Byung-ho used to be a police officer, according to reports. Byung-ho has graduated from Korea University with a degree in law. The lawyer has worked in a major law firm named Lee & Ko until 2015 before joining the new agency Hyun Law.
In the recent hearing of the case, Seungri’s lawyer talked about the alleged assault in which Seungri’s involvement has been criticized. He stated that Seungri and his friends were celebrating the end of the year and there was an actress present. According to a Twitter translation of the CCTV footage recorded, “A person referred to as 'A' appears in the room, greets Seungri and disappears. 'B' is also seen talking to Seungri in the hallway."

According to the report, the court has decided to continue the witness interrogation of two victims of the alleged assault, Yoo In-seok, and a gangster present on the scene. Earlier in January, a whistleblower on the case Kim Sang Kyo alleged that SNSD’s Hyoyeon "knew" the top actress who was present at the scene.
