Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber fans, mark your calendars for November 20. The famous pop stars from Canada are teaming up for a new collaborative single, titled 'Monster', dropping this Friday. On November 16, Shawn Mendes took to his social media to make the announcement for the upcoming single.

"#MONSTER friday nov 20th @justinbieber. Next single from #WONDER," the 'SeΓ±orita' singer wrote on Twitter and shared the link for pre-saves which you can find here. His post also included a teaser preview with visuals, so we're likely to get a music video on the release date as well. The 13-second clip is in a gloomy night setting with a bizarre doorless, windowless structure that only has a staircase to its flat roof. Check out the teaser below.

While a lot of fans, including pop-rock singer Niall Horan, are up for a Bieber-Mendes collab, others are not. "No one moved sorry but no," said a fan while another wrote, "i love u shawn but," adding a pic of an embarrassed Marge Simpson. One fan said, "thought it was someone trolling." Other fans are posting comments about a time when Justin Bieber didn't know who Shawn Mendes was. "Justin Bieber went from "Who is Shawn Mendes" to collabing with Shawn," said a fan. Bieber's quote comes from a 2015 interview with New York's 95.5 PLJ when he was asked if he had any advice for Mendes as a rising pop star. "How it started, wrote another fan sharing a screenshot of the interview and adding, "How it ended," with a screenshot from the 'Monster' teaser.

Meanwhile, in a now-deleted reply, Niall Horan shared support for the song, writing, "The boyos ! Tuuune."

As mentioned by Mendes in the aforementioned post, the upcoming collaboration will feature on his upcoming album 'Wonder' which is scheduled to arrive on December 4. The collaboration with Bieber will follow the album's lead and the title track which released on October 2. So, far, 'Monster' appears to be the only collaborative effort on Mendes' upcoming LP. The song will also mark the first time that Bieber and Mendes have collaborated on a song. With Mendes' extensive list of songs in his catalog, the singer has carefully chosen collaborators before and the songs have often received strong critical and fan praise.

Bieber and Mendes would also make a good musical match, vocally, so we'd have to wait and see how 'Monster' turns out.
