Justin Bieber debunks fake email claiming he is inviting fans to be part of new music video: 'It's not real!'

Someone has been sending mails to random people claiming that Justin Bieber is working on a new album and is inviting the recipient to a supposed music video shoot. After the clickbait artist sent the mail, Bieber began looking out for his fans and pointed out on Instagram Stories that it was all fabricated.

Apart from its grammatical errors and twice incorrectly written "Def Jam Recording's" announcing the message comes from Bieber's manager Scooter Braun of Def Jam Recordings, the letter is eerily detailed and clickbait-y. The letter is written as if it's from "Universal Music Group" and "Def Jam Recording's."

"To whom it may concern," it begins. "My name is Scooter Braun, I worked under Universal Music Group and Def Jam Recording's as the Manager and Booking Agent for multiple artist, the one I'm currently contacting you for is Justin Bieber. There is an album that is being produced at the moment and we're going to start filming a few music videos for a couple of songs off that album."

It continues, "Justin Bieber is interested in you playing a huge role in the music video for 'Numerous Nights'. The video will take place in Toronto Ontario Canada on September 4th and 5th, 2020. We typically offer around $10,000 for the appearance but if you have a different rate in mind then that is something that could certainly be discussed amongst all parties involved," adding, "If travel and hotel is needed to get you too and from the shoot then that expense will be covered by us and will not be deducted from your payout. Hair, makeup, and wardrobe will be done on set and will require approximately two hours before shooting to be completed."

Bieber took to his Instagram Story to warn his followers about this fraudulent email, saying, "If you have received a message regarding a music video that looks like the previous story post it is NOT REAL!" adding in all caps, "PLEASE BE CAREFUL THERE ARE CREEPS OUT THERE." We would like to point out that there is no 'Numerous Nights' track confirmed by Bieber, nor has the singer spoke of any upcoming album. His latest album 'Changes' was released in February and although possible, it is unlikely that shooting for music videos has begun, also considering that social distancing directives have made flight travels more difficult than the mail suggests.
