NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Savannah Chrisley, the daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, has expressed her support for her parents and asserted that they are innocent of any tax-related offenses, dismissing the allegations as a "witch hunt."

Savannah's claims come on the heels of Todd's son, Kyle Chrisley, being arrested as the couple is sentenced in a fraud case for 19 combined years. The 32-year-old, who appeared alongside his family on 'Chrisley Knows Best', was taken into custody by the Smyrna Police Department in Tennessee on Tuesday, March 14 on aggravated assault charges.

'When the government wants someone, they want someone'

The 26-year-old Savanah appeared in an interview on the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristow" podcast. When asked if she held any resentment towards her parents for their financial wrongdoings, Savannah denied any such feelings. "100% not guilty", she said, hoping that the appeal which Todd and Julie are set to file this month "will show those things."

"I know who my parents are," she said. "I know the things they have and have not done. I know the witch hunt. When the government wants someone, they want someone. They're going to do whatever it takes to make it look how they need it to look. There's no resentment whatsoever," she remarked.

'I will never forget when they stood up to read the verdicts'

The 26-year-old remembered the startling scene when the guilty verdict was announced and her parents' distressing response to the ominous information. "I will never forget the moment, sitting in that courtroom every day, a four-week trial," Savannah said. "..it took three days for the verdict to come back." She continued, "I will never forget when they stood up to read the verdicts and it was like, ‘guilty, guilty, guilty,’ like over and over and over again."

She further added, "I just saw the looks on my parent's faces and just everything, they were just in tears. We were not expecting that, we were like, 'There's no way, the Fox News reported.

The media outlet also reported that an arrest warrant was issued to Kyle Chrisley. "The report alleged that Kyle Chrisley, 32, an employee of Penske Truck Rental in Smyrna, was involved in a physical altercation with a supervisor, and further allegations were made that a 'fixed blade' was brandished by Chrisley during the incident." He was set on a bond of  $3,000 and transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. He was released after posting bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 20.
