NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fans of 'The View' called out Joy Behar and Ana Navarro for "body shaming" as the co-hosts were accused of using an "inappropriate" term on national TV.

Part-time host Navarro, 50, joined the show on its Friday, October 28, episode alongside Behar, 80, Sara Haines, 45, Sunny Hostin, 54, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, 33. The ladies discussed whether or not one should delete an ex's nudes after breaking up. Behar couldn't help but call on Brian Teta, the show's executive producer, to ask him if he would be into "chubby girls" after Navarro revealed she doesn't take nudes because she's "never been skinny."

Behar asked her co-hosts a question from New York magazine's The Cut during the second segment of the episode, “If you break up with someone, are you obligated to delete any nudes they sent you?” Navarro replied, “Fortunately, I’ve been fat my entire life so there are no nudes of me anywhere. I’ve never been skinny enough to be sending nudes.” Behar subsequently quipped, “Some guys like that. They are chubby chasers. There are men who like that.” The comedian then asked producer Brian, “You don't mind a chubby girl, do you?” He responded by joking that he couldn't hear her

While the co-hosts couldn't help themselves but laugh at Joy's remarks, many viewers struggled to find the humor. "Joy’s comments about 'chubby chasers' was so insulting. Like it’s so out there to think that some men might like anything other than skinny women," one tweeted. "I’m pretty sure ‘chubby chaser’ isn’t an appropriate term anymore Joy!” another offered. "@TheView come on, @ananavarro attractive comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. #TheView," someone else chimed in. "What a horrible thing to say about yourself. And not one of those women on the panel thought there was anything wrong with that statement?" a comment read. "The view is phat phobic now," another quipped.

Behar raised eyebrows last week as well after she made an NSFW comment that shocked viewers. The comic joked during a Halloween segment that she had had sex with ghosts. The conversation began after producers played footage of a woman who claimed to have "sexual ghosts" taunting her at home. She said the ghosts would make raunchy statements when she was alone at home and claimed she even caught them on camera. However, 'The View' panel was skeptical of her account. Whoopi Goldberg, 66, rolled her eyes in disapproval.

A discussion ensued, with Behar asking, "So let me help you out here. She's having a sexual hallucination?" She continued, "Which, we all have that, we read romance books, we read Summer on the Bluffs for a sexual hallucination right?" Haines then asked, "If you have sex with a ghost, can you get pregnant?" Behar responded, "I've had sex with a few ghosts and never got pregnant." The panel broke out in laughter and a few audience members who heard the statement also chuckled. Goldberg jumped in and said, "I'm just gonna let that ride. I don't know how many of you just heard what Joy just said, but I'm going to let it ride."
