During his latest appearance on 'Fox & Friends', Republican Missouri Senator Josh Hawley slammed at President Joe Biden calling him out for his latest criticism of Republican governors over mask mandates.

On his Thursday morning appearance on 'Fox & Friends', Hawley taunted Biden for his latest remarks of "Neanderthal thinking" Republican states for reopening businesses and revoking statewide mask mandates. Hawley said, "What an uniter Joe Biden is."

Host Brian Kilmeade asked Hawley about the "Neanderthal thinking" behind repealing mask mandates and allowing businesses to reopen at full capacity. "Senator, is this Neanderthal thinking because I'm looking by the states — listings of the states without mask mandates. Missouri is one of them," Kilmeade said. "Are you — do you have archaic thinking?"

"What a uniter Joe Biden is. You know this is Mr Unity," Hawley responded. Criticizing Biden's rhetoric against people that disagree with him politically, he said, "And yet if you disagree with him you're a Neanderthal. This guy has also called people who disagree with him Nazis, it is unbelievable. In Missouri we are called by DC crowd 'flyover country,' so we've gotten this treatment for years, but truth is there's nothing wrong with actually following the science allowing people to make their own decisions."

He continued, "In Missouri, we’ve had had a flexible approach to this since the beginning. I think our governor has done a good job giving local counties the ability to make their own decisions. Listen, if Joe Biden really wants to do more why doesn't he focus his Covid relief package on vaccine distribution and actually put the brunt of the package there?"

In addition to that, Hawley criticized Biden's coronavirus stimulus bill for not allotting a larger sum of money to vaccine distribution. "Instead he is spending hundreds of millions of dollars on stuff like abortion providers and environmental justice. That shows you where his priorities are," Hawley said.

'Neanderthal thinking'

On Wednesday, President Biden took a jab at Republican governors in Texas and Mississippi over their decision to reverse Covid safety policies including mask mandates and accused them of "Neanderthal thinking".

"We've been able to move that all the way up to the end of May to have enough [vaccines] for every American, to get every adult American to get a shot," Biden told reporters from the White House Wednesday. "The last thing we need is the Neanderthal thinking."

#KidHitler

On Twitter, many aren't happy with Hawley's latest remarks. People even taunted him for his alleged connection to January 6, 2021, riots. ".@HawleyMO Hey, #KidHitler. "Neanderthal" would be an improvement over the things you can factually be called," one tweeted. "Turns out that fist Josh Hawley made towards the insurrectionists on January 6th was an ancient Neanderthal bonding ritual. #Neanderthal #Neanderthals," another said. "@HawleyMO hey Neanderthal you didn't delete a thing from your phone. The @FBI will come for you soon.  enjoy," another user said along the same lines.

"@HawleyMO YOU are an idiot! For Abbot to open up the entire state of Texas when the variant of the virus is not well protected by the vaccines IS just plain stupid, foolish and Neanderthal just like President Biden said! Ab will regret this..." a user tweeted. People reached out to him to ask why he did not have problems when Trump mocked a reporter with a disability. "@cnn @donlemon @marcorubio @tedcruz @HawleyMO The word Neanderthal offends you but you’re perfectly fine with this," a user asked.
