LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reality TV personality Jinger Duggar, 29, has spoken out about her brother Josh Duggar, 34, who was sentenced in May 2022 to 12.5 years in prison after being convicted in December 2021 of possession and distribution of child pornography. Duggar has claimed that she sees no "true change" in her brother since his conviction. Josh is currently fighting for a new trial and his sister has stated that she is praying for the victims during this time.

Duggar had spoken on Tamron Hall's talk show about her nonexistent relationship with her brother and also discussed her new book, 'Becoming Free Indeed" She also talked about how her brother's conviction has affected her in many ways. "I haven't spoken to him in years," Jinger said, according to a RadarOnline report. "I just would pray that he would be truly broken over what he has done. So I just pray for the victims and their families."

Jinger’s Comments on brother Josh

While she made sure to empathize with the victims and made her support for them known, she also said that her brother’s way back to being redeemed can be easy if he sets his mind to it. "I think that part of this story that I'm telling is you can't put up all of these outward standards and rules and say that's going to do anything. It's not," Jinger continued. "Your heart has to be changed from the inside out and only Jesus can truly change that."

She had also been critical of the lack of change that she had seen in her brother since his conviction. "That's not something I saw in my brother," Jinger stated. "He's not truly changed," Josh's sister added. "So until God does that, it's only what God can do."

Josh Duggar’s future

Because of the vile nature of charges against Josh, the Arkansas father will not ever have time alone with his children until they are legally adults. The father of seven will only be allowed supervised visits with his kids until they turn 18. He will also be forced to meet a probation officer who may choose to enter and search his home at any point of time for the next 20 years after his release.

Duggar will also be made to register as a sex offender and has been ordered to participate in his prison’s sex offender treatment program. He has also been prohibited from viewing any and all adult content.
