When you think of the 80s, the first thing that pops up in our head is big hair, pop music and wild styles. Everything about that era was just so over the top, it's hard not to reference it ever so often. If you're an '80s baby that misses old school shows like 'Cheers' and 'The Golden Girls' and long for peppy music, you're in luck — there's a familiar face that's making his way back to the silver screen.

While boy bands blew up in the '90s with Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, their extremely popular predecessor was from the '80s. If you had 'Hangin Tough' on repeat for days, then you know who we're talking about. Make way for New Kids On The Block, the blueprint for boy bands. Although NKOTB disbanded in the early 90s after a short run, they were immensely popular and so was band member Jonathan Knight.

Who is Jonathan Knight?

Jonathan Knight is a singer and performer. He was a part of the boy band New Kids On The Block, which performed between 1986 to 1994. Knight's brother Jordan, was also a part of the band.

The music group was quite popular, even though they had a relatively short run. They ultimately reunited in 2008 and have been performing tours and even made multiple TV appearances.

From singer to a career in real estate

Incidentally, Knight was the first person to leave NKOTB back in 1994 which ultimately led to the band splitting up. The official statement made was that Knight left on account of a horse-riding injury that he had sustained. But the truth was he had grown tired of the demanding entertainment industry and was also suffering from anxiety at that point.

After leaving the band, Knight began his career in real estate and maintained a low profile, steering clear from the public eye. According to a report by Go Social, he did rejoin the band, but his anxiety led to stage fright. With regard to real estate, Knight has worked on over 200 homes during the course of his career.

What is his net worth?

According to a report by Yahoo! Finance, Knight's net worth is currently $14 million, which incidentally, happens to be the least among the NKOTB members. Even his brother, Jordan Knight has a net worth of $18 million. The other members' net worths are as follows: Donni Wahlberg and Joey McIntyre are the highest at $25 million each and Danny Wood has an estimated net worth of  $16 million.

The reason behind this could be because Knight was the first to drop out of the band and didn't make any public appearances right through the '90s and early 2000s. He was focusing on his real estate career at the time. However, seeing that that was his estimated net worth in 2020, with 'Farmhouse Fixer' on his roaster, his net worth will probably increase now.
