Photos of Johnny Depp's wounded face from 2015 brawl with Amber Heard resurface during trial
Johnny Depp presented some evidence to back up his claims during his defamation trial, including images of his bruised face following an alleged altercation with Amber Heard in 2015. Photos of his injuries from the purported physical altercation with his then-wife are now public.
One of the photos received by Radar Online shows the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor with a swollen nose. He also appeared to have a bruise behind his eye and a scrape mark around his facial area. Sean Bett, Depp's former security guard, testified against Heard on Monday, April 18. Heard and her staff were friendly to Depp, he recalled, but he was worried that "they were taking advantage of him." Bett claimed that he never saw Depp hit Heard or see any injuries on her body.

On several occasions, Bett did notice injuries on Depp as a result of reported altercations with Heard. Apparently, Depp was hurt for the first time in 2014, after Heard allegedly threw a vodka bottle at him which injured his hand. The second time, Bett says, he observed that the actor had a "swollen, kinda, cheekbone/eyelid" in March 2015.
In another undated episode, Bett saw Depp with "scratch marks around his nose area, I believe on one of the sides of his face, in the cheek area, and then on his forehead." Bett stated he saw the pair fight multiple times and blamed Heard for starting the fight.
Depp's nurse Debbie Lloyd echoed the bodyguard's claim that Heard initiated confrontations with Depp. According to Lloyd, the actress would routinely attempt to provoke fights with the actor, while he would try to flee. She claimed she witnessed Depp trying to run away from an altercation with Heard by going "from room to room," but she continued to follow him. Heard allegedly intervened in another incident, blocking Depp and his entourage, which included Lloyd, from exiting their penthouse elevator because "she didn't want him to leave."
Debbie Lloyd also remembered treating Depp for a severed finger, though she wasn't sure how he cut it. Heard allegedly tossed a vodka bottle at him, but others said Depp smacked it with his phone. On Tuesday, April 26, Depp is expected to testify and the trial is anticipated to last six weeks in total.
