Johnny Depp chuckled when a text message he'd sent regarding a joke about his penis was shown in court during the trial on April 18. The actor's nurse, Debbie Lloyd was questioned during day four of the defamation trial against his former wife, actress Amber Heard in Fairfax, Virginia.

Lloyd was questioned about her medical notes, as well as the text messages between her and Depp. One of the messages read, "Hey sweetheart, I'm so sorry about today. I thought you were Stephen, whom I'm not particularly enthused about for his loss of loyalty and his loss of memory. He has tried everything to f**k me over as far as traveling with my wife. He also bursts into my f**king house like it's goddamn Grand Central Station. I'm truly sorry if I upset you. If you like you can give me some morphine to see if my tongue and penis touch. All my love, J."

Amber Heard must be dragged to court for hitting Johnny Depp and not just canceled, say fans after audio leak

Depp chuckled when the text message was brought up in court. Meanwhile, Lloyd did not remember any details apart from the notes she'd written while treating the couple. At one point, she got emotional while their texts were being read out in court. After a message about Depp being extremely sweet and thankful to her was read out, Lloyd could be seen getting emotional as she said, "I'm gonna cry."

Heard had previously alleged that Depp had thrown a can of Red Bell at Lloyd, but the nurse denied that and stated that he never did anything like that. Lloyd said she heard that Amber Heard threw a bottle of vodka at him. Her notes said Depp recalled emotional trauma that caused him depression and anxiety. Users on the Internet were present in full support of Depp as they watched the trial while focusing on the details of the testimonies.

For the uninitiated, Depp sued Heard for $50 million because of defamation in connection with Heard's 2018 Washington Post op-ed, where she stated that she was a victim of domestic violence. Though the article did not name Depp, the actor feels it ruined his reputation and career. Depp's lawsuit says that the article relied "on the central premise that Ms Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her."

A month later, Heard obtained a restraining order against Depp and submitted photographs to the court showing a large bruise on her face while counter-suing him for $100 million. Isaac Baruch, Depp's longtime friend, has previously testified that he saw Heard the day after their supposed violent fight that led to the bruises Heard submitted to the court. He stated that there were no marks, cuts, swelling, or even redness that proved anything she suggested against Depp.
