Johnny Depp and Amber Heard grabbed headlines this week after audio recordings of their heated arguments were leaked online.

Heard admits in the recordings that she abused her ex-husband. She is also heard telling Depp that no one would believe that he's a victim of physical abuse.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star gained the sympathy of observers across the internet shortly after the audio recordings were leaked on social media. Meanwhile, Heard is being petitioned to be removed from the cast of 'Aquaman'.

Heard claimed years ago that Depp physically, emotionally, and verbally abused her. However, the audio leaks have now confirmed that it was Heard who abused her former husband.

Depp claimed last year he had already submitted 87 surveillance videos to support his defamation case against Heard, which he brought on after she wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post alleging abuse she experienced from the 'Donnie Brasco' star. In fact, he had also claimed that Heard had painted on her bruises.

Depp, at the time, defended himself in court saying it was Heard who attacked him on several occasions. His reps also claimed that Heard threw a bottle of vodka at him, severing his middle finger in the process. However, it is safe to say that almost no one believed his story.

The actor has claimed in court documents -- now released to the public -- that all of Heard's accusations are unfounded and false.

“The op-ed’s clear implication that Mr. Depp is a domestic abuser is categorically and demonstrably false. Mr. Depp never abused Ms. Heard. Her allegations against him were false when they were made in 2016. They were part of an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity for Ms. Heard and advance her career,” the document read.

After the recent revelations, famed celebrity blogger Perez Hilton appeared to issue an apology to Johnny Depp years after having originally believed Heard's domestic abuse complaints. But online observers were quick to note how Hilton had retracted on his apology in a 40-minute YouTube video.
