John Kelly denies SHOVING Ivanka Trump as Jared Kushner calls him a ‘Jekyll-and-Hyde’ bully
Jared Kushner, who served as White House senior advisor during Donald Trump’s tenure as the US president, has alleged in his forthcoming memoir, ‘Breaking History: A White House Memoir’, that John F Kelly, who was Trump's second chief of staff, once shoved Ivanka Trump in the White House.
The alleged incident, which Kelly denies, has been mentioned in Kushner's forthcoming memoir, which will be published on August 23. According to The Washington Post, Kushner, also husband of Ivanka Trump, said, "One day he [Kelly] had just marched out of a contentious meeting in the Oval Office. Ivanka was walking down the main hallway in the West Wing when she passed him. Unaware of his heated state of mind, she said, ‘Hello, chief.' Kelly shoved her out of the way and stormed by. She wasn't hurt, and didn't make a big deal about the altercation, but in his rage Kelly had shown his true character." Both Ivanka Trump and Kushner were, then, top advisers in the White House.

John Kelly denies allegation
Speaking to The Washington Post, Kelly, who got described as "consistently duplicitous, a bully, and evocative of Jekyll-and-Hyde" by Kushner in his memoir, said, "It is inconceivable that I would ever shove a woman. Inconceivable. Never happen. Would never intentionally do something like that. Also, don't remember ever apologizing to her for something I didn't do. I'd remember that."
Kushner alleged that 72-year-old Kelly offered his wife a "meek apology," which Ivanka accepted. In his memoir, Kushner mentions that Ivanka’s chief of staff, Julie Radford, was witness to his apology. Confirming this to the outlet, Radford told that she remembered Kelly's apology.
Kushner was diagnosed with thyroid cancer
Kushner, who is the founder of Affinity Partners, a global investment firm, was treated for the thyroid cancer but kept his diagnosis a secret from most around him, as per the upcoming memoir. Reuters report that Kushner was pulled aside by White House physician Sean Conley, on Air Force One as Trump flew to Texas, to tell him his test results from Walter Reed Medical Center indicated that he had cancer and “we need to schedule a surgery right away”. “The day before the surgery, Trump called me into the Oval Office and motioned for his team to close the door. ‘Are you nervous about the surgery?’ Kushner wrote while describing the details of the questions asked by Trump, who said, “I’m the president. I know everything. I understand that you want to keep these things quiet. I like to keep things like this to myself as well. You’ll be just fine. Don’t worry about anything with work. We have everything covered here.”
The book will give a glimpse of the debates in the Oval Office, double-crosses at the United Nations, tense meetings in Arab palaces, high-stakes negotiations, and the daily barrage of leaks, false allegations, investigations, and West Wing infighting, as per Barnes&Noble.
