Joe Rogan slams climate activists, claims China and India are primarily responsible for carbon emissions
AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan criticized climate campaigners, stating that their tactics would restrict American freedoms while ultimately failing to rescue the environment.
In a recent episode of his podcast 'The Joe Rogan Experience,' Rogan discussed the unequal playing field between China and the United States with former CIA officer Mike Baker.
Both individuals agreed that American liberal activists, particularly those advocating for a reshaping of American culture to combat climate change, could inadvertently serve as a fifth column for foreign spies.
Joe Rogan is shocked by China’s influence
“China has so much influence on America, it's crazy how different the playing field is between what we're allowed to do - like, Americans can't own businesses in China, they can't own land in China, they can't buy property - but China can do all those things here,” Rogan said.
He further added, “They can influence our universities, they bring their students over here, their students siphon up data and information and oftentimes get caught, it’s kind of crazy.”
Baker said that "the terrorists were using our open society against us" during the War on Terror, and he implied that China is simply doing the same again.
Is China and India responsible for most carbon emissions?
An illustration Baker provided was the fact that "China produces more carbon than all the developed nations combined."
To this, Rogan responded by saying, “It is very important to talk about when people are talking about going green because the amount of impact that would happen, even if the United States went to zero carbon output, you’re not going to put a dent in what’s happening to the world, because most of it is coming from China and India.”
Rogan continued by criticizing measures that were imposed on Americans and would significantly diminish their own standard of living while having little effect on the rest of the globe.
“So all this s**t about ‘Don’t eat meat, because we’re going to save the world,’ you’re not saving jack s**t,” Rogan said.
He further added, “I don’t understand where that message is coming from or why there’s not a nuanced perspective where people are taking into account all these other variables.”
The Chinese government, according to Baker, is using American activist groups to sway American politics in China's favor.
