President Joe Biden's health concerns started to trend on Twitter with several alleging he suffered from dementia

As President Joe Biden ordered the Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance marketplace’s temporary reopening, he has once again found himself under scrutiny regarding health concerns. Former President Donald Trump once launched an attack on Biden for his health. Several people on Twitter are now talking about Biden’s alleged dementia and how his mental health affects the country in the long run.

Joe Biden’s health:

Trump had previously branded Biden as “Sleepy Joe” as he appeared to lose his train of thought during his presidential campaign where he reportedly forgot the name of Senator Mitt Romney. Just weeks before Election Day 2020, Trump launched the attack on his Democratic rival Biden. At that time, Trump, 74, had just returned to the campaign after testing negative for coronavirus and tweeted, “Mitt can’t be thrilled about this! Joe also said yesterday he’s running for the U.S. Senate (again) and totally forgot where he was (wrong State!).” Trump added, “Joe has never been a nice or kind guy, so it’s easier to find this obvious & rapidly getting worse ‘dementia’ unacceptable for USA!”

During one campaign event in Ohio, Biden, 77, appeared to have accidentally said he was running for the Senate. “You know, we have to come together. That’s why I’m running. I’m running as a proud Democrat for the Senate when I ran as a proud Democrat for vice president, and I’m running as a proud Democrat for president. But I promise you this, I will govern as an American president,” Biden said. After Biden’s speech, Trump responded by saying that “it’s only going to get worse. It is not sustainable for our County [sic] -- China will own us!!!!”

Bogus dementia claims:

After Biden replaced Trump in the office, several Trump-supporters started to talk about Biden’s supposed dementia. Claims of Biden having dementia began to surface after he delivered remarks on the coronavirus pandemic January 27. The president has been pressing Americans to wear masks to stop the spread of the virus. He has also announced that his administration intends to order over 100 million more doses each of Pfizer Inc. and Moderna Inc.’s coronavirus vaccines. A clip of Biden’s remarks surfaced online where users claimed he allegedly mumbled. One user pointed out, “How many strokes has this guy had? I wouldn't trust him to take my kid to the store and he runs the country.”

As per WebMD, Biden has a “79% chance of living through a first term and a 70% chance of surviving through a second term.” As per the report, the chances of getting vascular dementia doubles about every five years for all those who are 65 and above. Biden had two brain aneurysms in 1988. Twitter users are voicing their opinions. “It is February 1, 2021, and Joe Biden still has dementia,” read one of the tweets. Another said: “Not kidding, I can guarantee every mirror in the White House has been covered to keep Joe Biden from arguing with the reflection. That’s how dementia works.” This was seconded by another who wrote: “Joe Biden has dementia. Democrats lied about his health and a compliant liberal media covered for him - Democrats will steal elections from now on with the press fully cheering them on.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Dementia Sleepy creepy Joe Biden is mentally physically unfit for office.” While another wrote, “Joe Biden is The Dictator with Dementia.”

It should be noted that irrespective of all the Twitter claims, Biden does not have dementia or any other major illness.
