President-elect Joe Biden was in Atlanta to campaign for Senate hopefuls Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock and he chose the platform to take a dig at President Donald Trump. Prior to this, Biden had made no comments on President Trump's latest leaked tape, where the latter is on an hour-long call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" enough votes to overturn his defeat.

The President-elect slammed Trump and said, "The president spends more time whining and complaining than doing something about the problem. I don't know why he still wants the job, he doesn't want to do the work." Biden also addressed the Trump administration's poor handling of the coronavirus vaccine and said, "It's a shame what's happening now. I've said it before, getting America vaccinated will be one of the most difficult operational challenges this nation has ever faced. But we've known it."

"This administration has gotten off to a God awful start," he added. Towards the end of December, around 10% of the vaccines were completed as opposed to the administration's original goal of 20 million. Biden had promised the Atlanta crowds that plans for $2000 stimulus checks would happen if Warnock and Ossoff were sworn in as senators. Biden shared, "If you send Jon and the reverend to Washington those $2,000 checks will go out the door restoring hope and decency and honor for so many people who are struggling right now."

"And if you send Senators Perdue and Loeffler back to Washington those checks will never get there," he added. He also shared, "By electing Jon and the reverend you can break the gridlock that has gripped Washington and this nation. With their votes in the Senate we'll be able to make the progress we need to make on jobs, on healthcare, on justice, on so many things," he continued. He said, "I know this campaign has been exhausting," as he encouraged his supporters to go and vote.

We had earlier reported that Trump received a lot of backlash for pressuring Raffensperger and other officials to look for enough votes in the state's presidential election so that he can be declared the winner. During the call, Trump told Raffensperger, "All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state." Trump lost the 2020 elections to President-elect Joe Biden by 11,799 votes in Georgia. Ever since the November election, ballots cast in the state have been counted three times with Biden's win being confirmed all three times.

Many social media users slammed Trump for the call. One such user shared, "It just stinks of desperation. He is a typical salesman, tells lies to sell you what he wants you to buy into, keeps talking, doesn't let you get a word in, tries to wear you down, if you don't bite, makes veiled threats that it's a crime. The man is dangerous and needs to go." Another added, "That tape was WILD. These ppl are absolutely DELUSIONAL!!! I can't believe Trump talked for like 20 mins straight with no one else saying a word. And Brian calmly rejecting everything was LOL. There's no getting through to Trump, he's unhinged. He lives in a fantasy world!"
