Joe Biden refuses to say what Donald Trump wrote in 'generous' letter, trolls ask if it had 'money or insults'
Donald Trump walked out of the White House on Wednesday, January 20, morning for the last time, before the 46th President Joe Biden was sworn in. Owing to Trump's refusal to concede the election and efforts to push claims that the election was fraudulent, it was speculated that he won't be leaving a note in his successor's desk, following the tradition that dates back to years. But, the former US president did leave a letter for Biden and the latter even called it "generous".
Before exiting the White House, Trump reportedly left a letter in the Oval Office. This was revealed by Biden himself when he was signing executive orders at the Resolute Desk. He said, "President Trump wrote a very generous letter. Because it was private, I won’t talk about it before I talk to him, but it was generous."
One couldn't help but wonder what the former POTUS had to say to the new president, especially after all the accusations he had made against the Democrats and their role in the "rigged" election.
However, following his address at Joint Base Andrews, Trump wished the new administration before his supporters and said, " I think they'll have great success. They have the foundation to do something really spectacular." He concluded his speech by saying "have a good life".
One couldn't be more curious to learn about the contents of the letter by the former president to his successor. People on social media were seen asking one another what could the letter have that's "generous" as they trolled Trump for his antics. In fact, some even came up with Trump may have written.
One asked, "Generous with... insults?" Another said, "If it was "very generous" I suggest they cash the cheque quickly while Trump still has some money left."

The trolls made the most of the situation as they dragged Trump for more than just the letter to Biden. One tweeted, "Do you really think Trump wrote a “gracious and generous” letter to Biden?! One of his staff did it, I bet", adding to the above tweet another social media user said, "For all we know Trump would have had nothing to do with such a letter if it really is generous or even nice, must have been written by someone on the staff." Meanwhile, one mocked Trump predicting what the former president may have written, "Generous letter: "I really won the election by a landslide but because I'm such a generous person, I will allow you to move into that dump called the White House and do the work while I take a short vacation. See you soon, Donald J Trump Permanent President of the USA." And one tweeted, "Biden said it was “very generous”, but failed to clarify if that adjective indicated kindness and civility or not. my guess is “generous” had to do with the length of the childlike rantings of a lunatic that the letter contained."

Even though Biden called Trump's letter "generous", the latter chose to skip the 46th President's inauguration. He and former First Lady Melania Trump walked a short red carpet and got on the Marine One Helicopter shortly after 8:15 am.
