Joe Biden and Kamala Harris slammed for doing 'nothing', Internet says 'judge them after 4 years, not 4 days'
The historic swearing-in ceremony of 46th US President Joe Biden and the first woman Vice President, Kamala Harris, was a lot different from the previous ones with the inauguration taking place with a small, socially distanced audience owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Besides, former president Donald Trump also refused to attend the inauguration event altogether.
While congratulations poured in from world leaders and supporters for Biden and Harris after they took their seats at the White House on January 20, some slammed them for having a laid back attitude in their first few days of office. Political columnist Joe Concha took to Twitter to write, “Vice President Harris has nothing on her schedule today or tomorrow while President Biden only meets with advisors until this afternoon before nothing until Monday. Looks much like the campaign, but these are actually days 3 and 4 on the job.” He also wrote, “And don’t bother with But Trump golfs. New leaders have been elected. The focus is on them now.” To which actor Mitchell Fink responded, "It’s Saturday. He’s worked more in 3 days than Trump has actively worked in 3 months. You’re embarrassing." Concha then replied, “But Trump! I prefer to focus on our current leaders and their actions/non-actions. Thanks for the feedback.”
To which Fink again responded, “Can you tell me when you focused / tweeted (ie whined) about Trump’s weekend schedule? The answer is you didn’t. You exist because asses don’t kiss themselves.”

Others jumped in to defend Biden and Harris saying, “Joe over here clutching his pearls. Please go back and review the previous administrations first four weeks. It was a total of about five days worth of work." Another wrote, “Biden was on the job straight after his inauguration signing new orders. No fancy ball costing the tax payer thousands. Press briefing Monday to Friday informing his citizens what he is doing and Fauci back with a voice. Looks good to me..” While another pointed out to the closeness between Trump and the journalist, “I like how you put that in there about Trump golfing. You already know what Trump did every weekend (and then some).”

One user said, "Judge them after 4 years, not 4 days." Another said, “I agree the focus is on them. So here is what I appreciate. If there is nothing on their schedule, they say so. No "he has many phone calls and many important meetings", and "he gets a lot of work done on the golf course" BS. I am all on board with transparency.” One said, "They have achieved more in 4 days than Dump has in 4 years." Another said, "He spent 1 of every 4 days as POTUS on a golf course." One said, "He’s done more in 2 days than our past leader. Of course that’s not counting the whole insurrection, but I’m not sure any president can top that one."

Biden signed a series of executive orders on his first day in office to combat the Covid-19 crisis. The Democrat had vowed to make Covid-19 relief a top priority of his administration while campaigning ahead of the 2020 presidential election. At the time, he had notably slammed Trump's pandemic response as ineffective.
Pointing this out, one user wrote, “They have a covid plan. I’d say that counts for something after all these deaths Trump racked up with no plan They have probably spent all remaining times reversing Trump policies that sucked the most I’d say it’s been time well spent.”

While another said, “Trump was inaugurated in a friday, the next weekend after he signed an order not allowing politicians to be lobbyists, he rescinded this on the way out the door, then on Sunday the 27th he sent troops in to die and also kill 20 civilians....that type of busy we can do without.”

Donald Trump Jr, however, rubbished Biden’s Covid-19 crisis management as a lie and shared a clip of Biden talking about the current situation regarding the pandemic and wrote, “I distinctly remember the media lying (as usual) and talking about some great plan that he had that was not made available to anyone but it was definitely real and awesome and was going to be implemented perfectly. What a crock!!!”
