Was bomb threat at US Supreme Court fake? False reports of evacuation before Joe Biden inauguration spark fury
Has the Supreme Court been evacuated just before the inauguration of Joe Biden? In a shocking piece of news, NBC and CNN reported that a bomb threat was called into US Supreme Court on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, morning as dignitaries arrived at the US Capitol.
News of the threat first surfaced on social media. Sharing a photo from the location, CNN's Alexander Marquardt wrote, “There is a bomb threat at the supreme court. Deleted last tweet because we are now told the building is not being evacuated. It was closed to the public for Covid. Much bigger national Guard presence.” He added, “Supreme Court public information officer tells CNN’s Ariane de Vogue 'the Court received a bomb threat, the building and grounds were checked out, and the building is not being evacuated'.”

However, people feel the threat might be fake. “Bomb threat at Supreme Court—resolved in minutes. Must have just been a fake threat. Damn the nutters, even the ones that make empty threats.” Another wrote, “Yeah they couldn’t get anybody to show up to the inauguration with their fake posters about an uprising and so now they’ve got a bomb threat. How convenient.”
Sharing Laura Loomer's post from Gab that read, JUST IN - CNN reported that the US Supreme Court is being evacuated for a bomb threat. Moments, later they say “oh, actually everything is all good.” They love creating chaos,” one Twitter user said, “Exactly. This fake 5-minute bomb scare at the US Supreme Court isn't fooling anyone. Any meritorious bomb threat at the US Supreme Court would have the building locked down, with bomb agents sweeping the building with detector wands and cop dogs for hours.”
