Biden branded ‘Dementia Joe’ by sick GOP trolls after he ‘forgets’ to credit Trump for COVID-19 vaccine roll-out

Biden defenders introduced counter-monikers like ‘Dumbass Don’ and ‘Insurrectionist Don’ listing the major gaffes by former president Trump

Republican supporters are outraged after President Joe Biden's first prime-time address on Thursday, March 11, 2021, where he reportedly praised his own administration for the prompt rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine. The GOP supporters expressed fury at Biden's deliberate oversight of former President Donald Trump's contribution to the initiative, who they insist, should actually be credited for the COVID-19 vaccine. 

They took to social media to vent their disappointment by branding Biden as ‘Dementia Joe’. The insensitive trolling was soon countered by Democrats who did not delay in unearthing old videos of Donald Trump's gaffes and mistakes — including his 2016 speech in New York — where he referred to 9/11 as 7/11.

Why was Joe Biden branded ‘Dementia Joe’?

Joe Biden's infamous gaffes are not unknown, and he is often at the helm of controversies for forgetting important details. For instance, he recently forgot the name of the Defense Secretary and referred to him as the ‘guy who runs that outfit’. However, it seems like snubbing Trump at the prime-time address on Thursday was a deliberate move and not another forgetful gaffe. 

Fox News host Sean Hannity took a jibe at Biden for taking "credit for everything that Donald Trump did" on COVID-19, adding that three COVID-19 vaccines were already in development when he assumed office. "As a matter of fact, it was Trump who initiated Operation Warp Speed last year that resulted in vaccine production within a year," an article from the New York Post reads. 

"Joe, you want unity? Why don’t you just thank Donald Trump? You want us all to get along, you say. No Trump, no vaccine, Joe. Stop trying to take credit for something, frankly, you had nothing to do with. Nothing," Sean Hannity reportedly remarked after Biden's address. 

‘He's too f**king forgetful’

In no time, Internet trolls launched a scathing attack on the President, branding him monikers like 'Dementia Joe', 'Sleepy Grandpa' or 'dumbest President ever'.

A user tweeted, "Sleepy Grandpa Dementia Joe sounds like he’s doing a Hallmark commercial." "Dementia Joe is trending. You're a f**king joke @JoeBiden," wrote a troll. Another tweeted, "Dementia Joe: dumbest President ever!!! #MAGA #bidendementia #JoeBidenIsNotMyPresident"

Another user exclaimed, "Dementia Joe trending is so true. This old dusty man has YET has ONE public press conference! Why? He's too f**king forgetful. Someone has to constantly throw his shit paper away after he uses it because he would eat it. #JoeBidenIsNotMyPresident"

‘I’ll take Dementia Joe over Dumbass Don any day’

Twitterati did not take long to counter the hatred against Joe Biden and thereby put Dementia Joe out of the trolling trend. In turn, they unearthed old videos of Donald Trump's gaffes and pointed out his controversial remarks on injecting bleach into body for disinfection or his infamous 7/11 mix-up. "Dementia Joe trending cause he won in a landslide over Dementia Don. The guy that said to inject bleach. They both old. So f off," a user wrote. 

Another added, "I’ll take Dementia Joe over Dumbass Don any day." Not just that, one said in a counter-tweet, "So Dementia Joe kicked Trump's a** in the election & Demential Joe kicked Trump's a** on vaccine distribution Dementia Joe is tons better than Insurrectionist Trump & Dementia Joe faster than Sleepy Operation Warp Speed." 

"Dementia Joe says windmills cause cancer and George Washington liberated our airports from the Thighland Redcoats of Nars, after raking all the forests when there was an attack on the Pentagon on 7/11," another sarcastic tweet read, listing the major gaffes done by Trump in the past.
