‘Jersey Shore’ star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino is expecting his first child, with wife Lauren Pesce in 2021, the reality star shared on social media. Sorrentino, 38, and Pesce, 35, revealed their big news on social media sharing photos of themselves and their beloved dog Mosey in their kitchen with 'Baby Sorrentino May 2021' written in flour across their kitchen island.

"We have a Baby Situation," wrote Sorrentino with a pregnant woman emoji on Twitter and Instagram. Lauren also shared the image in her social media handles with the caption, “Our biggest blessing is on it’s way. (sic)”

Mike tied the knot with Lauren, his college sweetheart, on November 1, 2018, after dating for four years — with a break in between during Mike’s early ‘Jersey Shore’ days. “We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!” Mike and Lauren told Us Weekly. “We are each other’s best friend and together we can handle anything. Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way. Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino.”

The duo tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at The Westin in Morristown, New Jersey. The romantic wedding happened less than one year after Mike proposed to Lauren in Miami while filming season one of ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ earlier in 2017. The couple’s pregnancy news comes just over a year after Mike was released from prison in September of 2019. The reality star served an eight-month sentence for tax evasion beginning on January 15 (2019) at Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York. His sentence was followed by two years of supervised release along with a $10,000 fine and 500 hours of community service.

When Mike and Lauren reunited after his release, they were eager to start a family together. Sadly, in November 2019, Lauren suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. The couple revealed the devastating news during an appearance on ‘Strahan, Sara and Keke’. “At about six and half, seven weeks, I miscarried,” Lauren admitted, adding, “It was heart-wrenching.”

Deena Cortese, who is also pregnant commented on The Situation's Instagram post saying, “So excited for you both! Love you guys so much." She told Pesce, "Soooo excited for you guys!!! You deserve all the happiness in the world ! Pregnancy buddies."
