LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Avengers: Endgame' actor, Jeremy Renner has been in the headlines for an unfortunate reason earlier this year, however, his Parmount series' new season released this week (January 15) which made Renner's fans go gaga. Speaking of his Paramount series, Paramount+ has switched out the key art for the upcoming second season of 'Mayor of Kingstown' after Jeremy Renner’s recent snowplow accident.

This is hardly the first marketing campaign to require adjusting. Pivots of all sorts have occurred, particularly in the face of tragedy or, more commonly, scandal. Regardless, the Paramount+ crime thriller tackles themes of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither. As per recent reports, 'Mayor of Kingstown' actor, Renner has been finally discharged from the hospital and is recovering speedily.

Out of respect for the star, who was recently hospitalized after a freak snowplow accident, Paramount+ updated their key art so Renner wouldn’t look so, well, damaged. The previous shot that was taken to promote season 2, which launched on Sunday, showed the actor with multiple face cuts that he presumably suffered after walking into last season’s prison riot. Although in the new image, Renner perhaps looks a little dirty but not wounded.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show's co-creator, Hugh Dillon claimed “it’s good of the network." Further adding of Renner, who stars in the exceedingly bleak crime drama as the unofficial mayor of a prison-filled town: “Everybody is sensitive to Jeremy.”

'Hawkeye' actor, Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries in Washoe County, Nevada, on January 1 while using a snowplow to help a stranded family member who was stuck in the snow in Renner’s car. According to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, after Renner towed the car out of the snow and stepped out of the snowplow, “an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment weighing at least 14,330 pounds,” as described by Balaam - it began to roll, and he was run over while attempting to reenter the driver’s seat.

Nevertheless, the 'Mayor of Kingstown's new episodes will drop on the service at 3am ET / 12am PT every Sunday.
