LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Will Poulter may have gained recognition in Hollywood via the 2010's fantasy drama film 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' but critics and fans remember him for his iconic role in 'We're the Millers', for which he won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2013.

Ever since a certain cocoon appeared as an Easter Egg in 'Thor: The Dark World’s post-credits sequence, Marvel fans have been waiting for the emergence of Adam Warlock in the MCU. The ultra-powerful cosmic entity later got a more official tee-up for his upcoming big-screen debut, soon to arrive in James Gunn’s long-awaited threequel 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3'. The wait is over as a beefed-up Will Poulter from 'The Revenant' will be starring as the powerful artificial being in the upcoming MCU movie.

Many outlets posted the first-look photo of Will Poulter's Adam Warlock. The occult expert character has appeared in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' in both incarnations as Warlock and Magus. Adam Warlock, portrayed by Will Poulter, will make his live-action debut in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3' (2023), which is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.



 

However, after the picture dropped, most fans trolled the actor and MCU rather than praising them. A social media user said, "He looks like someone stole his sandwich out of the lunchroom fridge. Walking to HR to file a formal complaint and demand they send a strongly worded all-staff email." A fan wrote, "I can never see him anything else after this," while another added, "More like Will “Pout-er”. A fan asked, "Who’s Dollor Store Thor??" Lastly, a fan shared, "Ahh the long awaited sequel “We’re the Killers.”



 



 



 



 



 

Regardless, the film is written and directed by James Gunn and stars an ensemble cast, featuring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Elizabeth Debicki, Sylvester Stallone, Sean Gunn, Maria Bakalova, and Chukwudi Iwuji. In the film, the Guardians embark on a mission to defend the universe and protect one of their own. 

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' is scheduled to be released in the theaters near you on May 5, 2023, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
