Jeremiah Johnson, the self-proclaimed "prophet" who falsely predicted that Donald Trump would be re-elected as president during the 2020 elections, has been forced to shut down his ministry. Johnson, who believed that Trump was "chosen by God", had supported the former president during his election campaign in 2020. He recently announced that he was closing the Jeremiah Johnson Ministries.

Johnson wrote about his decision in a Facebook post, according to The Washington Post, and said he decided to do so "after much prayer and the clear direction of the Lord." The decision comes after his abrupt two-week hiatus in the middle of a YouTube series he had titled 'I Was Wrong.'

In the videos, Johnson said that apologizing was not enough, saying, "I believe that it is a tremendous mistake to take the next four years to argue and debate and cause division and grow more prideful talking about how we think the election was taken from Donald Trump. I actually believe we need to take the next four years and humble ourselves."

He added, "We need to recognize that God is up to something far greater in the prophetic, charismatic movement that I believe is beyond what many even recognize. We need to stop, we need to take a breather and we need to come back to a place where we can begin to dialogue about these issues rather than be so triggered.”

The move came after Johnson posted the videos of apology for prophesizing that Trump would win the 2020 election, angering many of his followers. Johnson admitted during his announcement that he expected "tremendous financial loss and the removal of influence that has been well established over the last decade" by ending Jeremiah Johnson Ministries.

Following the announcement, Johnson deleted all his social media accounts associated with the ministry and started a new website called The Altar Global. The website states, "Our mission according to Revelation 22:17 is to help prepare the Bride of Christ for the return of our glorious Bridegroom King Jesus. We have been instructed to prepare an Altar for the Wedding day."

The website also states, "We believe the Holy Spirit will actively gather saints and leaders from all over the world who will be impacted by the mandate God has given us to prepare the Bride for the return of Jesus Christ. We trust the Holy Spirit to stir hearts to help us build an Altar in the earth for the Wedding Day! By choosing to sow a monthly gift, our Altar partner family will enjoy special access to private monthly zoom calls with Jeremiah Johnson and discounts on new products, e-courses, and national Altar conferences."

The website also mentions the Altar School of Ministry, a "one-year intensive program" where students will "receive classroom training from Jeremiah Johnson and other instructors on the lifestyle of an end-time messenger and the return of the Lord." Johnson was one of the first evangelicals to proclaim support for Trump when the New York mogul announced his candidacy.
