It looks like Jennifer Lopez has a surprise in store for fans which she teased on social media on Monday, August 17. Taking to both her Twitter and Instagram accounts, the celebrated Latin icon shared a photo and wrote, "Don’t want to keep you all waiting too much longer..... 😏🤍 #SomethingIsComing 📸: @lacarba." The only difference between the two posts is the tagging in of artiste and actress Ana Carballosa.

Tracing back to some of Carballosa's older Instagram posts in the latter part of June, she shared a photo of JLo wearing headphones and wrote in the caption "Something is cooking m 🎶 @jlo Pa’ ti 🔥🔥🔥📷 @lacarba." Based on the quaver note emoji usage and all the clues between the posts, we can presume JLo has been quietly working on new music and plans to drop the news in days to come. Although, in the photo that JLo shared on Monday, she is seen in a dressing room with a make-up artist, so if this all still relates to music, Lopez could be preparing the release of a new music video. Whatever the case may be, we are excited and fans are too.

"Omggggggg I cannot waitttttt" exclaims a fan, while another said, "Please new music."

One fan wrote, "OMGGGG IM SCREAMING SHE IS COMMINGGGGG."

Another fan shared, "Omg I hope to be either New Music or Movie either one I CANT WAIT." When it comes to her music, JLo's latest singles were released last year with none that have entered in 2020. Her collaborative single with French Montana, titled 'Medicine' released in April 2019 and her single 'Baila Conmigo' arrived in October. The singer's latest studio album, 'AKA', released as far back as 2014, leaving fans yearning for another big project.

Notably, JLo kicked off the year with an epic Super Bowl performance which made numerous headlines and drew much attention from screaming fans, so 2020 might be the year Lopez makes her musical comeback. Last year, Lopez also pulled out a show-stopper for her amazing performance in the American crime drama film, 'Hustlers', which eventually earned her nominations at the Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards. While promoting the film, Lopez opened up about her music break, explaining she's had to adjust her working schedule to accommodate her kids' school schedules.

In an April 2019 interview with HOT 97 radio, Lopez said, "It's harder for us. I've had to adjust my life and figure things out and do things in the summer and not so much in the winters, and take three or four months off in the middle of the year." Despite her busy schedule, Lopez did assure fans that she always has the next big project in mind, saying, "I do a lot of things and I have accomplished a lot of things, a lot of dreams that I have had, but I have many more. There's always going to be some new project that excites me."
