Jenna Ellis slammed over testimony about Donald Trump not wanting to leave White House after 2020 election loss
WASHINGTON, DC: According to ABC News, a Trump administration official informed his former attorney Jenna Ellis that "the boss is not going to leave" the White House after the 2020 election.
Ellis made these claims to Georgia prosecutors while cooperating in a complex criminal case that charges former President Donald Trump and his allies with unlawfully attempting to overturn his election defeat, after entering a guilty plea to a few of the counts in the election meddling case.
Jenna Ellis opens up about a conversation related to the 2020 election meddling case
In a taped interview with Fulton County detectives obtained by ABC News, Jenna Ellis can be heard talking about an exchange she had on December 19, 2020, the day following the 2020 election, with former White House social media director Dan Scavino.
Plea agreements struck by Ellis and Trump friend Sidney Powell in the Georgia criminal case of racketeering pertaining to efforts to void the results of the 2020 election prompted the proffer sessions.
Ellis said, "I told him the claims and the ability to challenge the election results was essentially over. He said to me in a kind of excited tone, 'We don't care and we're not going to leave'. "
"I said 'what do you mean', and he said 'well the boss - meaning President Trump - is not going to leave under any circumstances, we are just going to stay in power'," continued the former attorney of Trump.
She added, "I said to him 'it doesn't quite work that way, you realize' and he said "we don't care'."

Her evidence offers prosecutors a glimpse into the thoughts and feelings of cooperating defendants into how Trump's inner circle handled losing in 2020.
Moreover, her testimony may assist Georgia prosecutors at trial, but the evidence might not be a huge blow as the comment did not come directly from the former president.
Despite the formal legal challenges of his own campaign being denied, the former POTUS was, at the time, making outrageous claims about the results being rigged. Ellis was as one of Trump's most visible attorneys during the 2020 election while serving as his legal advisor from 2019 to 2021.
She is one of the persons who the state claims "knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump," making her an essential part of Georgia prosecutors' case against the president, as per Forbes.
During the Georgia hearing in October this year, Ellis sobbed and entered a guilty plea to one count of assisting and facilitating false statements and writing. She had been charged with more serious offenses, including breaking the state's anti-racketeering statute.
Ellis was ordered to write an apologetic letter to the people of Georgia, serve 100 hours of community service, pay a $5,000 fine, and receive five years on probation instead of going to jail.

One took to X (formerly Twitter) to exclaim, "Where’s her shame? She’s so snarky about it"
A second one added, "Meanwhile Jenna doesn’t like that there was insufficient evidence to impeach Biden. She believes Speaker Johnson is backpedaling too soon. Sounds like she’s ready to help plan another coup."
"Sing little bird sing," mocked a third, while another echoed, "Funny how you twist that logic into those pretzels."
One more said, "What she is saying is all hearsay not admissible in court," with one noting, "The lies will haunt her for eternity!"
Another expressed, "She would never have been able to tell the truth if she kept Trump's attorney's. Having her own attorney also saved her from receiving a longer sentence. Poor Walt is still using Trump's attorney. You will pay dearly, Walt."
"So she knows and yet she was part of his plot and spewed his lies for months and months?" inquired a person.
