FREDERICK, COLORADO: Christopher Watts, 33, pled guilty in 2018 to the murders of Shanann Watts, 34, and the couple's children, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, in exchange for prosecutors sparing him the death penalty. On August 13, 2018, Chris strangled his wife Shanann to death at their Frederick home early in the morning. At the time, she was 15 weeks pregnant with their child. Later, he strangled his two young children Celeste, 3, and Bella 4, before burying them all at his workplace.

A Twitter user named Jenn Russell claimed that Chris Watts was possessed by some evil spirits and thus murdered his family. She wrote, "We got the demon that possessed Chris Watts in the Shannan Watts murder case finally. He was what was in my house trying to kill me and my Family. @CIA I'm tagging you everywhere. While Chris Watts did kill them, he was demonically possessed, and the last 2 years prove it's real." With the tweet, Russell added a video, in which she disclosed that she told Cindy Watts, mother of Chris, that she was possessed by the same devil demon that earlier had control of Chris.

Russell said, "Like I told Cindy to earlier in a private video message with her. We got that son of a b***h, we got this son of a b***h that killed Shannon and her babies and demonically possessed what was in me, and that's what was attacking Cindy through me, and that's what was attacking my mom through me. I was trying to take that me out. That's why they had to get me out here that son of a b***h was here okay, so we got them out. They extracted him at the hospital Valleywise."

According to People, Watts pled guilty to nine criminal offenses, including five counts of first-degree murder, in November 2018. His wife and children's bodies were discovered on the grounds of the oil and gas company where he worked at the time. Watts, according to authorities, committed the murders because he was having an affair with a coworker who thought he was already divorced.

Shanann Watts reached out to a friend in the days leading up to the deaths, sharing her growing concerns about her marriage, however, she had no idea her life was in danger, as reported by People.
