Jeffrey Pierre: Man, 42, shot dead after getting into altercation outside NYC club
BRONX COUNTY, NEW YORK: A 42-year-old man was killed from gunshot wounds during an altercation outside a Bronx Club on Thursday, December 22, 2022, according to the police.
Authorities said that just before midnight, outside the Last Stop Bar & Grill, Jeffrey Pierre got into a quarrel with another man during which, a third person who was in no way related to the dispute, opened fire at him. The horrifying incident took place at White Plains Road near East 240th Street in Wakefield, reports the New York Post.

The police said they responded to an emergency 911 call and found Pierre with multiple gunshot injuries to his torso. The wounded man was then immediately taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
According to the New York Post, the suspect fled the scene and according to the NYPD, the shooter, who was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit, left the area in a Jeep. The suspect is yet to be found and no arrests have been made so far. On Friday, December 23, the police said that they were still not aware of the motive behind the devastating incident.
Apart from this incident, other gunfire situations took place in the city overnight with at least two other people injured. Another man was blasted in the chest around 6.30 pm on Lexington. He is reportedly in stable condition at the Harlem Hospital where he was admitted.
Just before 7.00 pm in East New York, Brooklyn, a man was shot in the arm on Lincoln Avenue near Sutter Avenue. The injured man was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and is said to be in stable condition. Police stated that three men, clad in black attire, fled the scene. In both incidents, the intention behind the gunshot fired is still unknown.
In a recent incident, even a cop was not spared from getting shot when an NYPD veteran was shot and wounded while responding to a domestic dispute and handcuffing a suspect on Wednesday morning, December 22, according to police, reports MEAWW. One hand of the suspect was free while he was handcuffed by the officer, after which he grabbed the gun from the cop's waistband and shot him in the foot. The cop was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition and declared that his injuries are not life-threatening.
