Jean Marie Bugoma: Texas perv who had SEX with multiple horses sentenced to 10 years in prison
A Texas man who admitted to sexually abusing and having sex with multiple horses was sentenced to ten years in prison. After entering a guilty plea to bestiality on Wednesday, 29 June, Jean Marie Bugoma, 24, was sentenced.
At least three of the heinous acts took place at a boarding facility for horses in San Antonio between June 2020 and February 2021. An arrest document claims that in the first incident, Bugoma was seen on security video wandering around the stables shirtless. Soon after, the owner observed that two of his horses were injured, and a vet subsequently concluded that the animals had been sexually molested. Bugoma allegedly returned to the stables months later and had sex with one of the horses. Two additional horses had been "hobbled," which indicated that their legs had been tied together. When Bugoma was apprehended by the owner at the stable in February of last year, officials acquired a warrant after DNA from one of the horses matched that of the suspect.

Bugoma was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Wednesday by Criminal District Court Judge Ron Rangel for sexually abusing a horse at a boarding facility in January 2021. Bugoma admitted guilt to one count of bestiality in the company of a minor, per a news statement from the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services Department (ACS). In relation to a string of animal cruelty episodes, Bugoma was initially charged with various felonies before negotiating a plea agreement with the prosecution.
“A number of animals were injured in the attack which occurred after Bugoma broke into the stable, allegedly to have sexual relations with several horses,” ACS stated in the release. In July 2021, a grand jury in Bexar County issued a true bill that charged Bugoma with several burglaries and acts of bestiality. Bugoma “intentionally and knowingly entered a building which was not open to the public with the intent to commit the felony offence of bestiality without the effective consent of the owner.” according to the prosecution, on January 8, 2021. According to the indictment, “Bugoma intentionally and knowingly engaged in sexual conduct with a horse" on that day.
“Bugoma intentionally and knowingly tripped a horse identified by the name of Cello, a second horse by the name of Uhtred and a third horse by the name of GG/Gigi and Bugoma’s conduct was not a generally accepted and otherwise lawful form of conduct occurring solely for the purpose of or in support of fishing, hunting or trapping; or wildlife management, wildlife or depredation control, or shooting preserve practices as regulated by state or federal law; or animal husbandry or agriculture practice involving livestock animals,” prosecutors reportedly said.
In addition, Bugoma was charged with animal cruelty for reportedly "tripping" three or more horses during the break-in. "Tripping" is defined by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) as “roping the front or hind legs of a galloping horse while on foot or horseback, causing it to trip and fall for entertainment purposes.”
Additionally, the prosecution claimed that "an unknown object" may have been used to harm the horses.
