President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner have had to reportedly take their children out of their day school after parents complained that the pair were not following Covid-19 protocols.

According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, the grandchildren of Trump had to be pulled out of the Milton Gottesman Jewish Day School located in Washington DC around two weeks before Election Day. The kids were then shifted to the Melvin J Berman Hebrew Academy in Maryland.

The children had started to attend school at Milton when the First Family had shifted to Washington after Trump had won the presidency in the 2016 election. According to a representative for Milton, the children "withdrew from the school". A longtime parent of a student at Milton who knew of the matter also confirmed the same to Business Insider that the children had transferred schools.

The parent said that there were some parents who were sad to see the family go. Three Milton parents spoke to JTA and revealed that the couple taken their children out of the school after other parents had complained that neither Jared nor Ivanka were following coronavirus protocols that the school had made mandatory for families.

JTA was able to obtain a copy of the protocols where the school had asked families to "avoid hosting or attending large gatherings where proper social distancing measures are not feasible." Over recent weeks, both Jared and Ivanka have been seen attending large gatherings and not following social distancing rules.

Another major issue for parents was that the couple had been working in close proximity with those who had caught the virus at Amy Coney Barrett's Supreme Court nomination event which had taken place at the White House on September 26. While Jared or Ivanka were not at the event, they were both working closely with those who were, one mother said.

The mother shared with the publication that "there was concern for the safety of children because it was very clear the Kushner parents were violating public health recommendations."

Many social media users seemed to be in agreement with the decision of the school and supported them. One user shared, "Good for the school, they have to look out for all their students. Not just the snotty Kushner family." Another user shared, "They’re so used to getting to break rules for 'normal people', I’m glad this school held them to account. Feel sorry for their kids who bore the consequences for their parents’ actions but maybe it’s a good lesson for them about entitlement."

"'Forced to withdraw' = 'expelled'. And why did the school wait so long? Did they just recently resume in-person instruction? Or were they compromising their health standards for Jarvanka until the election results were known?" shared yet another user.

Another user commented, "its too bad for the children. They have no respect for the virus. Good Move on the schools part." Yet another who echoed the same sentiments commented, "Very intelligent decision by the school administration which was probably urged by concerned, Responsible parents of the rest of the students at their school. Good for them!"
