Jared Bridegan: Microsoft exec's widow urges accused killer to 'do the right thing' in chilling first encounter in court
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FLORIDA: Nearly a year after a Microsoft executive was murdered, his grieving wife was struck with more agony after she came face to face with her husband's accused killer for the first time. Jared Bridegan, 33, was fatally shot in the middle of the road in Jacksonville, Florida on February 16, 2022, after he stopped to check for a flat tire.
During the encounter, his 2-year-old daughter Bexley was strapped in the back of the car while suspect Henry Tenon, 61 and his accomplice fired rounds of bullets. Although only Tennon was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, accessory after the fact, and child abuse. However, widow Kirsten Bridegan has urged the assailant to "do the right thing."

'Grief-stricken Kristen Bridegan plea to suspect!'
A grief-stricken Kristen said, "Honesty, I think it's still sinking in," after attending the hearing on Monday, February 13. "To think that might have been one of the last people my husband saw is kind of a hard pill to swallow," she said in a statement outside court. Kristen then pleaded to Tenon saying, "Henry, if you get to hear this, please choose now to do the right thing," according to Daily Mail. "Please help us receive justice sooner than later."
"Please help us in this nightmare that we are living every single day." Furthermore, Kristen called out to Tennon's own family and said, "We can only imagine the hurt and the pain you must also be feeling." However, Tenon entered a not-guilty plea as he donned a face mask and wore glasses during the court hearing at Duval County Court. He is being held without bail. Moreover, prosecutors are yet to claim whether Tenon pulled the trigger after they believe the suspect may have not acted alone.
'More arrests awaiting!'
Suspiciously, the suspect also has a connection with Bridegan's ex-wife Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, 36, and her new husband Mario Fernandez, 34, as he was living in the pair's house at the time of the murder and working as a handyman. Shanna and Mario also remain suspects in Jared's homicide, law enforcement said. State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District Melissa Nelson noted in a press conference that more arrests are impending after they believe the suspect did not act alone. "We know that Tenon did not act alone," she said at the time.
