"Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo," she wrote on her blog. After a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis in September, Fonda, who has previously battled the sickness, told her fans she felt "lucky" because it was "very treatable." "I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate. I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way. I am confident that it played a role in the good news. I'm especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything."
The celebrity was fortunate to have fantastic relationships with some of her ex-lovers, friends, and her three children and two grandchildren. The actress reportedly didn't fear death and was grateful for all of life's highs and lows. She acknowledged that she wasn't prepared to die, but said that she knew the time will come soon enough, according to Amomama.
The 'Grace and Frankie' star's daily routine includes eating healthy, staying active, and getting adequate sleep. Fonda said that taking care of herself allowed her to look younger than her actual age. The actress claimed she sleeps eight to nine hours every night. She also discussed how she likes to spend time meditating in nature. The 'Book Club' actress admitted it had taken her some time to understand that one's body is "very forgiving" when they are young. She claimed that she had mistreated her body in the past, but as she got older, she discovered that she wasn't as productive the next day when she drank excessively one night or didn't get enough sleep.
Fonda has two grandchildren, Malcolm Vadim, 23, and Viva Vadim, 20. The Hollywood actress takes her role as a grandmother very seriously. She said, "I want to see my grandkids get old enough so that I go out knowing that they’re going to be OK." The 'Barbarella' actress, who is also a climate activist, pledged to keep fighting climate change until she was unable to do so anymore. According to reports, her grandkids are continuing in her footsteps by raising awareness about the crisis.
