Facebook Watch talk show 'Red Table Talk', which stars Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, saw the trio talk about perspectives of three different generations on umpteen amount of social, political and trending topics. The Smith family has always been candid about their struggles and have been honest in their safe space on the show.

In one of their recent episodes, Jada candidly admits that although she was worried about daughter Willow's "excessive weed smoking," she's "proud" that the youngster decided to curb the habit. Willow explained her journey as well with grandmother and mother weighing in on how they felt about the situation. The trio who took a creative angle with the episode during the COVID-19 pandemic kept the theme of the episode "addiction themed". You can watch the full video here.

Jada, 48, congratulated her daughter, saying, "Willow, I’m really proud of you as well, because you have decided to curb your excessive weed smoking." Willow, 19, exposing their honest relationship, replied, "You always were telling me, you’d be like, 'Gotta stop that smoking.'"

Mama Smith explained where her worry stemmed from saying, "Only because as your mother, I could see the effects of it that you couldn’t," while grandma Adrienne added, "And for me, it was like with the history that we have in our family it was driving me crazy."

Willow revealed her process when she decided to put smoking weed on the back burner, revealing, "I haven't been smoking marijuana for three months, specifically THC. When I stopped smoking, it was a really big eye-opener because I was like, there are so many people that I called friends in my life who kind of like…"

"Drifted away," finished her grandmother. Adrienne revealed that she's in her 30th year of recovery with her own addiction to heroin, saying, "It's been a long time since I've had to rely on going to meetings daily. The quarantine, believe it or not, put me back in touch with going to meetings."

Daughter Willow told the audience that she replaced weed smoking with a much healthier alternative, "I know it sounds so cheesy but around the time I stopped smoking I started doing a lot of yoga. And I just excelled. Cause I was putting all of my energy into that. Like, I wasn’t doing anything else, and I was like, 'Wow, what if I was doing this with everything?'"

"I'm less anxious, which is... who would have thought? That's ridiculous. I never understood that smoking would actually make me more anxious," she added.
