After being informed about the incident by the sister, Morant's parents and a group of his associates went to the school. "Which one of ya’ll called her a b****?" Morant’s mother, Jamie, allegedly asked. When someone tried to take a picture of Morant, one of his associates allegedly knocked the phone out of his hands and said, "I don’t care about none of that, I will beat y’alls asses." Witnesses claim that the associate was about to pull a gun, but police say they never saw the man with a firearm.
Charges against Ja Morant
Morant is indeed quite lucky as no charges were filed even though he was investigated. The mother of the student involved in the confrontation with Morant’s sister wanted to press charges against Morant and others involved for harassment and intimidation. But, no charges were filed.
Ja Morant and investigations
Ja Morant had quite a history of being investigated, but luckily he was not charged. Recently, the star was investigated for flashing a gun on IG Live while he was partying at a strip club on Friday, March 3.
He is accused of punching and pointing a gun at a 17-year-old high school basketball player during a pick-up game at his home. Morant claimed self-defense in the incident as the teen had thrown a basketball at his face and had stepped toward him. The teen said that Morant went into his house and emerged with a gun in his waistband while Morant claimed that the teen made threats to return to the house with weapons. The teen filed a lawsuit against him in September 2022.
Morant also reportedly threatened a mall security guard and one of his associates was accused of shoving the guard. He was also the subject of an NBA investigation in which members of the Pacers claimed that his associates pointed a gun at them following a confrontation. The investigation was concluded as it could not corroborate that guns were involved.
