Ivanka Trump reportedly believes that despite all the drama during her father’s tenure in the office, she can be the first woman president of the US. The first daughter reportedly still thinks that despite the allegations that Donald Trump incited the January 6 violence at the Capitol building, her chances to assume the White House in the future remains open.

Vanity Fair reported that when Trump took the president’s chair in 2016, Ivanka and Jared Kushner’s friends warned them not to join politics. But the pair “decided to accept roles in the West Wing over the advice of almost everyone they knew. It was a joint decision by the couple, and, in some sense, a joint job. Between themselves, the two had made an earnest deal: If sometime in the future the opportunity arose, she’d be the one to run for president. The first woman president, Ivanka entertained, would not be Hillary Clinton; it would be Ivanka Trump.”

Some reports also stated that Ivanka plans to attend the January 20 inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden to “save her reputation” and her “promising political career". However, her father is reportedly not happy with her plans as he said to the 39-year-old that “it's an insult that she would even want to engage with the crooks that are trying to bring him down”. “The president told his daughter that her presence at the inauguration will cost her thousands of supporters and would be the worst decision she could ever make,” a source said as reported by The Daily Mail. The insider also added that Ivanka “said she has to protect her own political aspirations and isn't about to muck it all up by attending her dad's 2024 campaign kick-off which is set for the same day. She's leaving that for her dad and Don Jr.”
