Ivanka Trump to run for president in 2024? Rumors spark after ‘breathtaking’ RNC speech: ‘Imagine Hillary's face’

Ivanka Trump's presence became a talking point for Twitter and they couldn't help but wonder if she could be the presidential candidate in 2024

After President Donald Trump's family members — Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump and First Lady Melania Trump — took the stage at the Republican National Convention, it was Ivanka Trump's turn on Day 4. The 38-year-old businesswoman, who has been serving as advisor to the president since 2017, blew minds with her speech as she lauded her father as "the people’s president" and people on the Internet couldn't stop praising her.

"Tonight I stand before you as the proud daughter of the people’s president. He is our commander-in-chief, champion of the American worker, defender of common sense and our voice for the forgotten men and women of this country," she said.

Doting on his compassion, she told the audience how he still shows off a Lego version of the White House that his grandson made for him. She also went on to say: "I sat with him in the Oval Office as he stopped travel to Europe." Then she echoed Melania's words by mourning for the Americans who had lost loved ones to coronavirus. "As our nation endures this grave trial, I pray for the families who are mourning the loss of a loved one, for all those who are battling Covid-19," she said. 

Although there were many factual errors in her statements, Ivanka's presence became a talking point on Twitter and people couldn't help but wonder if she could be the presidential candidate in 2024. "After that speech, I could go for @IvankaTrump 2024. Wow!" one Twitter user said and another posted, "@IvankaTrump 2024 I’ll donate first 3500. Feel good about the next 4 years. Need you to carry the next 4..." One even went on to say: "Ivanka Trump might have well announced she is running for POTUS in 2024, because that is their plan."

Praising the First Daughter, one Twitter user posted, "Ivanka is breathtaking," and another said, "Ivanka looks incredible!! Breathtaking!" One went on to say: "Imagine Hillary's face when Ivanka wins in 2024."

Many mocked her but couldn't deny the fact she was going to stand for president in 2024. "Ok now I know the baton has been handed to Ivanka for 2024 so definitely I Trump/Kushner for then," one tweet read and another said, "Ivanka Trump just finished practicing for her run at President in 2024...while breaking federal law... while being delusional." One supporter said, "Thank you you will be our first woman President in 2024 Ivanka Trump!"

With all the backing for her, should we expect Ivanka to be the first woman President in 2024? Well, only time will tell.
